I'm finally updating!!!!!! I'm so sorry it's been so long, school has kept me so busy it's insane. Thank u so much for the 150+ reads on this story Ik it's not as many As a ton of other ppl have but I didn't think I would have even that many 😗 aaaaaand now onto the story😊

Deeks POV
(Ik a lot of this has been in deeks POV but that'll probs change soon)

I finally arrived at the hospital after what felt like hours but in reality was only about 10 minutes, I raced into the hospital lobby and found Callen and Sam already there sitting in 2 chairs. "How did you guys get here so fast?" I asked them. "We were close to the hospital when Eric told us what happened" Callen replied. "Has there been any news about kensi's condition?" I asked hurriedly, "she's in surgery right now but she should be out of that soon according to the last update we got" Sam said. I knew I must've looked like a mess but I didn't really realize it until Callen spoke up saying "don't worry deeks, kensi's a fighter we're not going to lose her"

Callen POV
A half an hour later deeks was pacing around the hospital lobby while Sam, Eric, Nell, granger and Hetty were sitting in chairs around the room. Sam and I had tried to calm deeks down, tried to get him to relax but he was too scared for his girlfriend to stop pacing around the room, I get how he feels though I mean if something like this happened to Joelle I'm sure I would be feeling the same way
(I'm not sure if Callen and Joelle are supposed to still be together in the show but I'm gonna make them together in this story😊)
Finally a doctor walked out of a hallway into the lobby we were sitting in and said "family of Kensi Blye?" Deeks practically jumped on top of him and the rest of us got out of our chairs and walked toward him, knowing we would now find out if our favorite female agent would live another day on this world we fight so hard to save every day🌎 "she survived surgery" those words we had all been waiting to hear not knowing if we ever would were finally spoken from the doctor standing in front of us. "One of the bullets just barely missed her left lung, and the other hit a vein causing the massive blood loss" the doctor said.
(I have absolutely no idea what I was talking About with that doctor stuff so if it's all wrong I'm rly sorry)
"Can we go see her?" asked deeks "of course" the doctor replied "she is not awake yet but she should wake up within a few hours. "Deeks u can go in to see her first we'll give u two a minute " thanks Callen" he replied

I walked into her room and up to her hospital bed a tear slipping not down my face and started talking to her "I'm so sorry Kensi I'm the reason you're laying here if only I would have seen the shooter, warned you in time you wouldn't be here, another tear slipped down my face, if she wouldn't have made it if she would've... Died I don't know what I would have done, it would have been all my fault. Suddenly I remembered the rest of the team waiting outside the door and I walked over to it opening it to let them in, they each took a moment with Kensi talking to her for a minute and then when Nell, the last person to go to the bed and see her walked out, I left with her going to talk to my team. "It's getting late I think I'm gonna head home" said Sam the rest of the team agreed with him making me promise to let them know via text when Kensi woke up, after they left I walked back into the room and pulled a chair up to the side of her bed, taking her hand in mine and pulling my phone out with the other, I scrolled through the pictures of me and Kensi, and us and the rest of the team. After a couple hours of sitting at her side I felt her hand move squeezing mine, I jumped to attention watching my girlfriend wake up from the coma she had been in the last few hours. Her eyes slowly fluttered open and as they landed on me she smiled "Deeks" she whispered. I stood up quickly and stepped to the bed side, never letting go of her hand. " I'm here kens, I'm here" I said. "How long have I been here?" She asked shifting slightly on the bed, "about 4 hours" I replied, suddenly she drew in a breath sharply and squeezed her eyes shut. "What's wrong Kensi" I asked "it hurts, it hurts a lot deeks" she said "ok I'll go find a nurse" I said, running out of the room and finding a nurse quickly "excuse me my girlfriend is in room 402 with two gunshot wounds and she just woke up, she's in a lot of pain" the nurse walked back with me to kensi's room, she asked Kensi a couple questions and gave her some pain meds, leaving to inform a doctor of her waking up
(Again my medical/Doctor knowledge is little to none so I'm sorry if that stuff is wrong)
I walked up to kensi's side "I'm so sorry" I whispered "what for?" She asked, "I'm the reason you're here if I would've protected you better back at that house you wouldn't have gotten shot, you wouldn't be here right now" I said, "Deeks my god no this is not your fault this will never be your fault" she said reaching up to press her hand to my cheek. "I'm just so glad you're ok" I breathed, leaning my face toward hers, closer and closer, until our lips touched, I kissed her passionately and she gladly returned the favor. We pulled apart, only because of lack of air "I love you detective deeks" "I love you too special agent blye"
