Chapter 3

(A few hours later)
Deeks POV
"No! No! Kensi I'm coming!" I shout as I run toward her, but I couldn't, it was like my feet were glued to the ground and all I could hear was kensi's scream echoing as the bullets tore into her chest. I try to move, try everything I could but I couldn't reach her, I stood helpless, watching her bleed out on the ground.

I wake up with a start, panting as I sit in the hospital chair next to Kensi's hospital bed "Kensi" I think "is she alright" I look over at her to see that she was sleeping peacefully on her back with one hand resting on her stomach. I lean back in the chair trying to relax after the real-ness of the dream

Just then Kensi wakes up "hey baby" I greet her "hey" she replies, shifting on the uncomfortable bed. I could tell there was something wrong "are you ok?" I ask her "yeah deeks I'm fine..." She trails off "cmon fern I know you too well for you to do fool me with that anymore" I say. She was silent for a moment and then turns toward me, a tear slips down her face "I was scared deeks" she admits. "So was I" I admit, laying down next to her and wrapping my arm around her shoulders. Kensi curls into my chest and we fall asleep, together, safe, forever

Callen POV
Sam and I walk into Kensi's room, having brought her and deeks dinner. We look over at the happy couple asleep together "well, isn't this cute" I smirk. They both awake with a start and start to pull away from each other "no don't mind us" Sam says, holding up the takeout we brought "we just brought food. "You guys stay" deeks says "we'll have dinner all together". "Ok" we agree, and we all sit down And eat Chinese, laughing and talking.

I'm so sorry for the long wait but here's the new chapter!! I've been crazy busy and also sick so I haven't had time to write but I've been having a lot of inspiration lately so hopefully updates will come more frequently😚 also could y'all go check out my bæ carmen's new story at carmylou that would be awesome
