Zane Shows Himself

Aphmau POV

It was that same night that I held the meeting between the three most loyal guards in my village, "Why did you call us here Aphmau," Laurence questioned with curiosity.  I sighed at the fact that I'm still a shadow knight, I sighed once more then I started to loosen up a bit and a tear slipped down my face.

 I then took a deep breath and spoke, "I'm still half shadow knight, I don't have all Irene's powers or, I should say my moms powers, heh, that sounds weird to me," I close my eyes and spoke once more, "Go to your posts and do not tell anyone about this."  They nodded and left to go to their posts, I was about to look out the window again until I heard a knock.  I was upstair in my bedroom so I spoke before going to answer the door, "Coming in a second."  I hurried down the stairs and opened the door only to see Zane, I know who he is and how he acted, but he seemed different.  He had a present in the shape of a large rectangle, the size of a sword, he spoke smoothly, "Open it," I looked at the box skeptically and said, "There's a catch right," he chuckled and responded, "Of course, but I wished you'd just open it, it would be so much easier."

Zane stayed at the door for a second before speaking, "May I come in," I narrowed my eyes and slowly nodded making way for him to come in, he gave me the present as he walked in.  We talked a bit and then he got up and went down on one knee and spoke softly, "Will you marry me." I rolled my eyes and shook my head and responded with a calm and simple, "No."  

I may have spoke calmly but, the shadow knight me wanted to kill him, it kept stating the reason that I will become immortal.  I fought those thoughts even if I wanted to kill him, but then he broke me from my thoughts as he said, "If you still say no by next week, well, you can say bye bye to your precious village." 

I glared at him before calming down and then responding, "I'll think about it, so please come back next week and see what my answer is, bye for now."  He then smirked and tsked, "Will you be a dear and escort me to my ship," he said as he motioned to the door.  I forced a smile and nodded walking to the door.  I got the present and opened it, in it was a purplish blue sword, it could create flames if I so wished.  It was a nice gift, I decided I would take it with me.  After all, I knew there were shadow knights.  I escorted him and found myself in a trap, wow, he was prepared.  Then the worst time ever, the biggest thought from my other half yelled "BURN THEM MAKE THEM PAY!" 

I then saw Zane walk up to me asking, "Will you say yes," that sentence triggered something feral inside me.  I kicked him on the leg making him stubble, it was the good side of me in control until a shadow knight grabbed me and said, "Why fight it?"

I threw him into the water but he almost hit the docks as he fell.  Zane had a potion out, it was green but would flash red time to time.  It was an enhanced potion of poison he poured it onto his sword and ran to me, stabbing me.  I screamed in pain but my screams were soon muffled by someone's lips, Zane's lips.

I fell to the ground clutching my stomach, he left me there angry, but drained.  He wasn't a shadow knight but a coward, he used a potion because he knew he couldn't defeat me. 

Garroth came running towards the docks, he probably heard me scream.  He looked at my stomach seeing the wound Zane had made.  He quickly but carefully picked me up and started towards the guard tower to heal.  He probably didn't want my house messy with my blood.  As we were halfway there I saw black consuming my vision and soon all I saw was black.

I soon woke up with a somewhat dull pain in my stomach.  I looked to my right to see Garroth and smiled at him softly.  Garroth smiled back and left the room, probably going back to patrol. 

I looked down and noticed I still had my blood soaked clothes.  I wanted a new pair of clothes so then I thought about Cadenza and remembered I gave Cadenza a communication amulet.  I pulled out my communication amulet and choose to talk to her, she responded, "Yes." 

"Can you get me a new pair of clothes, if your busy you can just ask Laurence to bring it,"  I said softly, "I'm not feeling well."  I heard a soft hum and then her communication amulet was put away.  

After a short wait Laurence came into the room I was in and handed me the clothes in his hands.  I looked down at the clothes in my hands, I found that there was a white dress with soft purple accents along the bottom and neckline.  It was truly beautiful and my favorite part was the purple azalea flower crown.

It was truly magnificent.
