"Y/N!"
You open your eyes and scream, sitting up. Wendy glances at you and chuckles.
"Sleeping during a shift on your first day." She chuckles.
Your eyes widen and you look at her, opening your mouth to say something.
But you felt much too petrified to.
"Don't worry, boss is used to it by now. So what'd you dream about? You were shaking." She says, crossing her arms while you looked around, like a lost cat.
"Nothing." You then smile, looking away after you said it.
You didn't know if you should mention any of it to Wendy. You weren't sure if she even knew who Bill was. So far the only people you could rely on with this were Mabel and Dipper.
'Hold your tongue'
"What time is it?" You yawn, stretching.
Wendy looks at her watch, her eyes drooping.
"9:30" she mumbles.
"Holy crap I gotta get home!" You squeal, remembering you had a sister.
She nods and closes the register as you rush to the door.
"I'll cover for you." She nods, tossing you a bag of chips.
"Thanks Wendy, you're the best!" You smile, opening the door and running out.
You close the door behind you and face the pitch Black Forest.
Who knew what lied in there.
"Shit." You mumble, walking into the sea of death.
Your feet walk along the grassy floor, a bunch of leaves rustling around you. You stand up straight, getting into a karate pose.
Nothing, but a stupid squirrel.
"Dumb nut-lover." You mumble, walking along.
You hear a louder rustle of leaves near you, more closer than before. You started to shake and you covered your eyes.
"Slenderman? Please leave me alone, I think your drawings are amazing." You say, shaking.
"What are you talking about?" Someone asks, a flashlight shining in your face.
"Dipper!" You smile, feeling relieved, your heart-beat returning to its normal tempo.
He waves and you hug him tightly, due to your huge fear of the dark.
"Are you okay?" He asks, as you let go
"I'm scared of the dark." You blush, whispering.
He smiles and puts his hand on your shoulder, looking into your eyes.
"Want me to walk you home?" He asks.
"Yes please." You nod.
He nods and walks beside you. You heard another rustle and grabbed Dipper's hand, quivering with fear. He chuckled.
"I don't wanna die." You squeak.
"Y/n you're not going to die, you just need to get used to this place. It messes with your mind." He says, poking your forehead.
You smile sheepishly and nod. He gives you a reassuring smile, continuing to walk.
"Speaking of mind....." You mumble, looking down.
He turns to you, and cocks his head.
"I fell asleep today." You say looking down.
"That's okay, it happens. It's fine." He chuckles.
"No, it's not. I had a dream. More like a nightmare." You mumble.
Dipper now had his full attention on you. He stared at you, and stopped walking.
"Bill?" He asks in a serious, worried tone.
You nod, remembering exactly what happened not too long ago.
"He, wanted me to make a deal. But I said no. And then he turned into a human and..." You go on.
"Y/n." He says in a serious voice, looking at you with a mad/concerned face.
You glance at his face and look away.
"I don't think you realise how dangerous is."
You sigh and shake your head.
"I understand, but why is he contacting me?" You ask, your eyes big.
Dipper sighs and walks on with you, swinging your locked hands.
"You're new. Let's just hope he wanted to see the new resident of gravity falls." He said, straightening his hat with his free hand
"Okay..." You mumble, wishing you didn't have to be the one who had this conversation.
He points Ahead to a lit up house.
"Is that yours?"
You nod and look at him.
"Do you want to come inside?"
He shakes his head and smiles, ruffling your hair.
"I have to get back. I'll see you tomorrow, don't forget about me." He chuckles, walking backwards and waving.
"Okay i won't! Thank you!" You wave, opening the door.
He smiled and walked back into the darkness of the forest.
You walked through the doorway, seeing the living still room lit up, Gracey half-laying on the couch, snoring loudly.
"Gracey." You shake your head, chuckling.
She yawned, snorting, and sat up, looking at you.
There you are loser! Your foods on the counter." She pointed, rubbing her eyes.
You nod and grab your sandwich sitting beside her.
"So where you go today? Find anything cool?" She smiled, twirling her hair.
"I got a job" you shrug.
"Already?" She smiled
"Mhm. At the Mystery Shack." You nod.
"Oh I saw that on TV! That crappy tourist shop. Did you make any friends?" She asks.
You nod, making her squeal.
"The kids who live there, Dipper and Mabel and also Soos and Wendy."
She smiles wide, and punches you lightly, jumping in her seat. You watch her, confused.
"What are you doing?" You ask, watching her hop up and down in her seat.
"You got a friend!!!!" She squeals.
"Three friends." You correct with a smile.
"Yay!!" She laughs, hugging you.
You smile and finish your sandwich. Your eyelids felt heavy, you feeling incredibly tired for some reason, and then you let out a yawn.
"I'm gonna go to sleep. You too Gracey, you're hyper enough as it is." You giggle.
She nods and runs upstairs. You follow, going into your room. Your bed looks so comforting, and you facepalm into it, falling into the soft, feather mattress.
"Night Gracey!" You scream into your pillow.
Your eyelids fall heavy and you find yourself falling asleep.
