{y/n= your name}
Your arms wrap around your best friends, you giving them a huge hug. You knew you'd probably never see them in person ever again.
"Do you have to move?" One of your friends asked, sniffling.
You smile, a tear emerging.
"Well, it's not like I have a choice. Believe me, if i could, I'd take you all with me. But we all know that's out of the question." You smile sadly.
They frown and give you one last hug. This one longer and more stable. You wanted to stay like this forever. Only until you hear the car honk it's horn at you. You pull away from the hug and turn around.
"Bye y/n."
"Have fun!"
"Skype and call everyday!"
You climbed into the small car, a moving truck positioning behind it. You sat in the empty back seat and rolled down the window, waving goodbye to your friends. The car pulled off the driveway and your heavy heart shattered as you saw one of your friends fall to their knees and cry.
Did they care about you that much?
Then how could you leave them?
Again, you didn't really have much of a choice.
Your aunt Gracey, your only guardian, decided she didn't want to be anywhere near her recently ended other (her EX) , and decided on moving to Oregon; dragging you along.
You loved your aunt very much, and you knew she was a bit cuckoo. But this was just ridiculous.
"How long till we get there?" You croak out.
"About 28 hours hon." She smiled.
You groaned.
"We're going to die of starvation." You whine, your stomach growling, since you missed breakfast to hang out with you friends one more time.
"There's snacks in the cooler down there. Don't eat them all at once. Take a long nap and we'll be there in no time." She said, smiling.
You grabbed a bag of poptarts and munched on them, glancing out the window.
Goodbye hometown
You sigh and lay down on the three empty seats, pulling an old fleece blanket over yourself. It itched like hell, but you didn't care anymore.
You wanted to go back home
Where people cared about you
Not to some old place in Oregon nobody's heard of.
You close your eyes and sigh, grabbing the bag of Doritos and using it as a pillow.
"Goodnight y/n." Your aunt smiles.
"Yeah." You said in a sad, soft voice.
You found yourself drifting to sleep with the light swaying motion of the car.
