~~Lilac POV~~

After Dipper began walking back home, I waited for a while, watching him leave. He had seemed really worried about some little kiss, which didn't even happen in reality. It was all in the Dreamscape. So why was he so concerned?
Maybe all my time away from civilization made me forget the significance of a kiss. What was the big deal? Lip on lip, sounds more gross then romantic to me.
The worst part was Bill. He was still hanging around, silent and watching as usual. He was there from the moment I opened my eyes after the Dreamscape. He heard everything.
Which worried me, because he must know the significance of a kiss. What if it meant something bad, and Dipper was too embarrassed to tell me? I would have to investigate this at Mabel's sleepover tonight. I crossed my legs and sat down, thinking about how I should approach the situation. The Sleepover would let me know if I should worry about this or not. Since Bill was of no use being silent, I would have to ignore him.

I watched the sun go down for two hours and then headed over to the shack. I passed Stanford doing the dishes and walked up the stairs one step at a time. Then, warily, I knocked on the door firmly.
"Lilac!" Mabel opened the door with a smile. Then she grabbed my arm and pulled me inside, slamming the door shut. I saw that Candy and Grenda were already there, in their PJ's as well. Waddles was on Mabel's bed, looking cute as ever.
"Hello there, Lilac." Candy greeted me.
"What's up girl?" Grenda asked with a wave.
"Hi." I said with a smile, waving back. I didn't know them as well but they were friends with Mabel, and their auras were good, so I didn't pay them much mind. I think we hung out once or twice.
"Okay girls, let's get this party STARTED!" Mabel cheered. Then the threw glitter at all of us. We laughed and began having a pillow fight, which was very difficult for me because I had to make sure not to hurt any of them. Mabel went downstairs briefly to get some snacks, and Candy and Grenda began braiding my hair. Waddles interrupted them by making a mini nest in my hair, rolling around in it on his back. I held onto McGucket's ribbon in a pocket and braided Candy's hair as best I could while laying down, to provide more access to my head for Waddles. Of course I finished way before they did, so I moved onto Grenda's hair. By that time Mabel came back with a bowl of jelly beans, jolly ranchers and gummies. She set it on the ground and slid in front of me so I could braid her hair, fishing Waddles out of mine. She stroked Waddles, feeding him the occasional gummy bear.
After the braiding Grenda pulled out a romance novel, and Mabel and Candy were really excited about that. I already knew about human mating rituals, the basics, like kissing and buying certain drinks, dancing and stuff. However I tried to listen when the two characters started kissing. Could this help me out? Maybe I wouldn't have to bring it up with Mabel. Unfortunately, Mabel interrupted Grenda and I didn't get the chance to learn the modern significance of a kiss.
"You know what this reminds me of?" She asked with a sly smile.
"Well say it already!" Grenda said impatiently.
"Lilac and Dipper." Mabel squealed. Waddles oinked.
"Nuh-uh!" Grenda gasped.
"It can't be true!" Candy said in disbelief.
"Believe it girls." Mabel said, winking at me. "Dipper totally kissed Lilac!"
"Uh..." I said awkwardly. What is the protocol here?
"You go girl!" Grenda said, playfully shoving me.
"I didn't know your brother had it in him." Candy said, adjusting her glasses.
"What was it like?" Grenda asked. "Tell us everything girl!"
"Um...okay." I said, looking at Mabel with panic clear on my face. "It happened...today." Mabel nodded.
"And uh...he..." What do people normally do before a kiss? "He held my hand..." Mabel nodded again. "And then he..."
"Did he lean in?" Mabel asked, while nodding yes.
"Yeah, and then, I leaned in...and then he gave me a kiss." I looked at Mabel, who was puckering her lips and pointing to them. "On the lips." I added.
"What was it like?" Mabel asked with encouragement in her eyes. Why was she doing this?
"It was a kiss." I said with a nervous shrug. "What more is there to tell?"
"Was he sweaty? Did he breathe? Did you breathe? Oh, what did it taste like?" Grenda fired all of these at once.
"What did it taste like?" I echoed. All three of them nodded. Kisses have tastes?
"Like normal I guess..." I assumed that there was a normal taste. "I'm going to the bathroom now."
"Okay!" Mabel giggled while I frantically left. I raced to the bathroom and shut the door behind me. I went over to the sink and gripped the edges, feeling panic rise up inside me.
"What did it taste like?" I asked incredulously, staring at my reflection. "Clearly this is more important than I thought..." I slapped my forehead. "Now I'm talking to myself again."
I focused on breathing instead of words. Inhale, puff out ribs, exhale, make ribs shrink, and repeat. Inhale, exhale, feel the flow of air inside yourself...
"Okay..." I whispered. Obviously kissing is way more important than Dipper made it seem. Unless Mabel is blowing this out of proportion, which I wouldn't put past her. So to girls it's a big deal, and to boys it isn't? Or is it backwards and they're messing with me? But then Candy and Grenda would have to be in on it too. For now, let's just assume that for girl's it's important, and for guys it isn't. That seems safe.
Suddenly I saw Bill's aura drop down from the ceiling behind me. I stared at him through the mirror, a little angrily. This guy again...
I went back into the room to find them all giggling, and Bill followed me. They stopped once I entered, but briefly, because a moment later they were all laughing again. I weakly smiled and we finished the slumber party with no more mention of what happened in Mabel's Dreamscape.

That morning Mabel wouldn't let me leave. Bill was still there too, hovering over me like I was his lifeline.
"I'm fine, honestly!" I said, heading towards the door. "You fed me enough last night, so I can-"
"It's not just about food Lilac!" Mabel pounced on me, tackling me towards the ground. "It's about my brother and you!" She poked my nose.
"What else is there to-"
"DUH!" she rolled her eyes. "He likes you!"
"I don't-"
"NOPE! He told me himself." She grinned.
"Dipper told you that he liked me?" I asked, surprised. "He told me the opposite."
"Well, he didn't use words," Mabel said, getting off me. She straightened her headband. "But his body language was enough. He likes you, but doesn't know it yet."
"I don't think that's how that works." I said, tying up my tangled hair in my ribbon. "Besides, I thought he liked-"
"Wendy is a lost cause." Mabel waved it away. "That ship has sailed."
"Alright. Well, I'm going ho-"
"Lilac Whites, you are staying for breakfast!" She threw a shoe at the hand that was reaching for the doorknob. It didn't hurt but I shot a glare at Mabel.
"Why?" I sighed.
"Because I want to give Dipper the chance to ask you out, obviously. And also, I'm making Mabel juice."
"Wait, are you-"
"Shhh...." Mabel came over, patting my head gently like a dog. "Mabel will take care of this. Just drink your Mabel juice."
"But I don't want any."
"Shhh."
