When writing your story, it helps to ave a little.. ok, a lot of details. Adding lots of details make the reader able to see things as the character does. So it helps to add details of whats happening in the story.


Differences

No details: The play ground was noisy.

With details: The sounds of children's laughter plagued the play ground. Shrieks and squeals of delight rang out from the slide and swings. Kids ran by in their eager games of catching. I covered my ears to drone out the ear splitting noises that threatened to deafen me.



The best way to add details is to focus on each area. For example, the playground consists of swings, slide and see saw. Start describing each one one by one then do a summary of the scene.
