One problem for some writers, is that they reveal too much information at the beginning, not allowing the readers to truly be engrossed in the other parts of the book.
Remember, Writers, YOU are the writer, its YOUR book, YOU know all in your story. So slowly reveal it, not all at once, keep it in small bites, keep it in mystery, only by doing this will you give the readers a reason to will and wish and beg for you to update. This is what we call, a 'page-turner' and 'unputdownable'.
So slowly steady, wins the race. But never tell your readers where you live. They may barge into your house and demand you to continue immediately.
You have been warned.
