Superhero - Five Seconds of Summer fanfiction

Chapter 3

Dude, I'm like struggling so much witht his.. I thought it would be easy:/ It's SO freaking hard! Sorry if there are typos. I'm too lazy to double check!

*Tess's POV*

*The next morning*

   Me and Luke had a really good talk yesterday. It was good catching up with him. I've missed him. He was one person that could help. He's a lot like Wren. I wish he would have stayed throughout this whole thing. But he has fans and band mates relying on him. He couln't let them down. I just hope he stays for a while.

   My phone ringing pulled me out of my thoughts.

   "Hello?"

   "Tess? Hey it's Luke."

   My heart skipped a beat, "Oh, hey Luke! What's up?"

   "Um.. me and the boys are practicing then going out to eat and I uh was wondering if you wanted to come and watch us then uh hang out for a little bit. If you dont want to I mean it's fine but i uh-"

   I cut him off, "Yes, I'd love too." Wait.. did I actually just agree to hang out with someone without being begged? Wow, maybe Luke coming can be really good for me..

   "Great!, I'll see you in a few?" he asked

   "yeah..um..where at exactly?"

    "oh, yeah um.. my house. You remember where right?"

  Stupid question.. "Yeah, it's right down the street remember?" I laughed to myself. I can picture him facepalming now. 

   "Oh yeah..OW!"  he screamed. I was right.. he totally just facepalmed.

   I laughed to myself,  "Okay, Luke. See you soon! Bye!"

    "Bye, Tess.", and with that he hung up.

    I walked up Luke's drive way and to the front door. Before I could knock the door it swung open and I was engulfed in a hug. "TESS!! OH MY GOD! IT'S SO GOOD TO SEE YOU!"  Wait, was it? OH MY GOSH!

   ALEXAAAA!!", I screamed and hugged back as tight as I could. Alexa was Ashton's girlfriend of God know's how long. Grade 8 I think. They're perfect for eachother. Me and her grew pretty close since I was always at their band practices with Wren and she was there, too. It was good to have a girl around considering I was ALWAYS with the boys.When the band went to England she went with them. I didn't really care at the time considering I had just lost my brother. Looking back now, her staying might've helped me. I kind of feel bad. I totally forgot about her.. I snapped back to reality. "How have you been?! It's been so long! Oh my gosh! You look different.  Where has time gone?" I asked.

   "I'm great! And you? You've changed a lot! You're so skinny! We need to get some meat on those bones! " She said pinching my arm.. Classic Alexa. Always acting like the mom of the group. 

   "I'm...fine. Thanks.!"  I lied. She looked like she was about to say something but stopped. "Um..shall we go in?"

   "Oh yeah come on in! The boys are excited to see you. Especially Luke. he hasn't shut up about it."  Wait what? 

   "Really?" I said trying to hide a smile. Alexa just nodded and winked. Well.. this could get intersting. We walked into the house and into the living room. I was engulfed in a hug. I looked up to see Michael. "MIKEY!! I said jumping into his arms as he spun me around. "I've missed you!"

   "I've missed you too! You didn't happen to bring food with you did you?" Classic Michael.

   "Good to see, too" , I said sarcastically, "And nope sorry. Out of luck there, Mister."

   "Hey! What about the rest of us?" I heard Calum say from behind Michael. I walked over to him and gave him a hug. Not long after I said my hello's to everyone else then we headed to the band room to loiten to the boys rehearse.

Me and Alexa sat side by side infront of the boys. The room is a lot bigger than I remmeber. Maybe it just feels bigger becasue we're missing a person. Wren. Alexa pulled me out of my thoughts by asking me something.

   " So, what happend the other day with Luke?" 

   "What do you mean? We just talked. Why?"

   "Well, he just seemed really anxious when he told us you were coming. He couldn't stop smiling." Se said with a grin on her face.

   "Oh", I said "Well maybe it was something else." I said trying to change the subject. 

   "Well, I think he likes you. I mean he hasn't said anything about it but I can tell. Lukes likes Tess" She said winking and nudging me with her elbow.

   "I'm sure that's not it. But whatever you say" I said playfully rolling my eyes.

   "Oh it is. I know these things. I'm like a wizard at love... a love wizard.. or is it love doctor? I don't know. All I know is he hasn't stopped smiling since we showed up today." She said then turning around and listening to the boys.

 Could he? No. We haven't even seen or talked to each other in a year? Plus, He's famous now. He can have anyone. I snapped out of my thoughts when Luke started singing. He voice is so beautiful.. wait what am I saying? I thought I got over this? Maybe not..

*Luke's POV*

When Alexa and Tess walking the living room my heart sped up but then dropped again. She looked so sick. Like she hadn't eaten or slept in years. What had I done?? I broke my promise to Wren. Before he died he made me promise to watch over her. To make sure she takes care of herself and moves on. I was supposed to watch over her and I left. I screwed up. My best friend's last request and I couldn't even fullfill. I need to make this up to not only her but to Wren. I was gonna fix things, help her move on. I don't know how, but I will.
