This poem is based off a character in the Harry Potter series. If you have not seen the movies or read the books, this is kind of a spoiler. The base credit of this poem is given to J K Rowling and her amazing work.

Poem by: Grayson Loffman

The night Innocence claimed guilt,

Destroying all reputation he had built;

Helping out a dear old friend,

To make things right in the end.

He lurked in the shadows to help the light

Keeping a secret, slain in a fight

There in the night his body lay

"Nothing but a murderer." They may say.

But today I know him as a different man.

The night a tear dripped from his face,

I saw his past, as frail as lace;

He was a man who loved so much,

His dreams were shattered by a touch

His past has turned him hard and cold,

But once he had a heart of gold

He lay there that night stained with red

He lay on the ground, cold and dead.
