Mitch folded the note with shaky hands and a tearful Eye. Scott would be home soon, he had to make this quick. Mitch had a game plan, he would put the note on the counter and leave. Mitch started out to the living room and walked over to the counter. He started to place the note on the counter, but was startled when Scott walked in. "Mitchie?" Scott said, when he saw that Mitch was starting to cry. Scott pulled Mitch into a capturing hug before he could answer. He saw the note. "What's that?" He said, immediately worried for his beautiful best friend. "Nothing." Mitch muttered, looking down. Scott frowned at his response and tilted his chin up. "Mitch, please?" Scott pleaded, looking deeply into his gorgeous brown eyes. Mitch sighed and regretfully handed him the note.

There's something I've been hiding from you, a secret. I have been keeping it for seven years. When you came out, I was happy as ever. I was happy for you. You told me about Alex, so I bit my tongue. You guys dated for two years, but you don't know how much I wanted to be in this place. You have been my best friend for 15 years and I wanted anything but to hurt our friendship. This is why I'm writing this note, I can't tell you myself. I can't stand to watch you leave, so maybe I should be the one to leave. I'm sorry Scott but you don't know how much I am in love with you. Scott gasped quietly and looked at Mitch with a tear his own eye. "Really?" He asked. Mitch nodded sadly, but was soon pulled into a loving hug. "Mitch I love you..Alex was only distraction. I had him to get my mind off of you." Scott gasped out. Mitch grew confused and was speechless. Before he could respond, Scott pulled him into the most loving kiss he had ever had. They both pulled back, smiling gratefully. Scott smile soon faded. "Mitch?" Scott asked. "Yes?" Mitch replied. "Alex proposed."
