"Y-you're leaving?" Mitch asked Scott. "Yeah, I'm moving in with Alex, he proposed !" Scott replied, and noticed that Mitch was on the verge of tears. Mitch let a silent tear fall as Scott pulled him into a sympathetic hug.
"I-I-I'm going to l-lose you.." Mitch sobbed into Scotts chest. Scott looked up and sent a guilty glance at Avi, Kevin, and Kirstie, standing behind Mitch. "No, I'm just not going to be here with you like I usually am." Scott received a couple 'yeah, right' scoffs from Avi, Kirstie, and Kevin before Mitch slipped away from Scott, immediately offended. "Like you usually are? Tell me the last time you came home for dinner!" Mitch yelled at him. Scott didn't reply. He couldn't, he didn't remember. "Or the last time WE watched a movie together on OUR couch?" Mitch was close to full out sobbing by this point. "I have a boyfriend, you know! I have to be faithful to him." Scott retorted. Mitch chuckled humorlessly and whispered, "Being faithful doesn't mean ignoring your best friend, leaving the house empty for him to sink into a deep depression in without someone to hold onto." Scott's face fell and he looked back in his life. Mitch was right, Scott was ignoring him. He didn't realize Mitch was depressed. If only he had held on, he could've helped him. Scott glanced at his best friend, suddenly realizing the physical impacts the depression had taken on Mitch. Mitch was now so skinny, his ribs were showing. His eyes were puffy and they had bags under them. He looked so stressed. How could he have never noticed? He also noticed he was always wearing long sleeves. 'No..' Scott thought. 'It can't be..' But he had to check. We walked over to Mitch and slowly pulled up his sleeves, revealing cut after cut after cut. He gasped and stumbled back. "How could I not know?" Scott gasped out, now allowing tears to fall freely down his own face. Mitch stood still, staring at Scott with a blank, emotionless look on his face. "Mitchy, I'm..I'm so sorry. I had n-" "No idea?" Mitch interrupted. "no one did. Not even Them!" Mitch laughed, pointing at the rest of the crew. "Mitch, please!" Scott pleaded. But it was too late, Mitch had already ran out.
