We were perfect

You told me we would last a lifetime

When you found me i was nervous wreck

I was glad to call you mine

We began to write

I thought of you in the night

You had me lifting higher than a kite

would I ever marry you? I might

Our love turned from poetry to scribbles

Lines crossed out in frustration

Every argument led to other like ripples

We became a terrible illustration

The story became many chapters of truth's and lies

What has become of our lives?

We would never leave each other so I thought,

For our love I had fought

We separated then

Never wrote again

Words hurt my chest as I could only call you a friend

That's exactly what happened back then

Our love story came to an end
