Broken

Nobody cares until your broken

but then they throw you away

They leave words unspoken

And forget you the next day

I was the broken toy

That parents bought a new version of

Always tried to impress the boy

In hopes he would want my love

We were the broken kids

Held back from the crowd

They sold our care out to the highest bid

As we played our music in our head phones loud

But see, there was only one of us on the market

We wanted our sale to end

Our minds were the popular kids targets

And we never had someone to call our friend

We were broken, far beyond repair

Nobody had kindness to spare

On our shoulders it was courage we tried to wear

But in the end to us, life wasn't fair

We wanted to be fixed, and changed

But for us disapproval always rained

They called us freaks; like we were deranged

But our insecurities couldn't be tamed

They broke through our chest

And released through our eyes

We were tired of the "Try your best"

And didn't want to spread anymore lies

We sleep tonight wondering how we survive

A broken heart, a messed up mind

It was happiness we tried to find

Wondering when death with arrive

Were the broken ones

Scared to trust

Our souls are starting to rust

Can you fix us?
