Reality hit me slowly. I kept my eyes closed when I pulled away from Nathan.

"What's wrong?" He asked. "OH.. DAMN I forgot that happens, sorry." That was last I heard him say before he ran back down the hall to get clothes I assumed, because he came back quickly in jogging pants, and a loose, white, t-shirt.

I stood up off the ground and leaned my back against the wall, waiting for the silence to end.

"Let's go sit in the living room. We can both relax and watch Tv or something." He suggested. I just nodded a little and followed behind him. As I walked I left a few feet distance between me and him. We stayed silent walking down the hall and into a big space with a huge tv, and a mini bar with a fridge and small oven/stove. I was just a little too confused/worried to be impressed right now though, so I just ignored it and sat on the corner of the couch with my legs curled up to my chest.

He sat down beside me handing me a warm coffee mug, and he started to drink out of his own. I gave a small grin. "Thank you." I tasted a small sip of it. "Wait, How did you know I drink my coffee like this?" I asked.

"I know more about you than you think." He said, watching the tv. I looked at him with a confused glance, then turned my head to face the television also. I think it was a show about detectives or something, I couldn't really focus, my mind was on another subject. The silence between us was just making me so uncomfortable I just started to speak.

"Okay, I don't mean to start another argument, but why couldn't you just tell me that you were... a.. well you know." I waited on him to reply.

*Nathan Sighs* "I still can't explain it all to you right now"

"But.."

"ENOUGH!... Please, I can't tell you. Just leave it at that."

"Alright." I forced myself to look down into my cup. I could feel him continuing to look at me.

"I would never mean to hurt you, that's why I need you to listen to me, and do what I say. It's truly for your own good." He said lifting my head up by my chin.

"But.. What about Mae? When will I be able to see, or hear from here again?" I sat my cup on the table in front of me.

"Soon I promise, maybe I can fix up the other room. And she would be welcome to stay here as long as she wanted." He said, setting his coffee onto the table.

"Are you for real? Oh my gosh, THANK YOU!!!" I was so happy. I jumped onto him hugging him with all my might. I think I might have jumped to hard though. He ended up in the floor with me on top of him.

"Ah.. Oops, My bad." I couldn't stop laughing, and smiling. He grabbed my waist with on both sides and rolled his body on top of me, where I was now the one on the floor.

"Oops.." He said with his smug grin.

"Hey! That's not fair!" I said laughing.

"Life's not fair." He said laughing, but he changed. His teeth were sharp again, and his eyes were turning red too. I gasped, and he noticed why I did. His face quickly became worried, and he backed up off of me.

"I'm so sorry. I don't mean for this to happen. Sometimes the beast inside me gets carried away. He becomes... well... he needs a... mate. That's what happened in the bedroom a little bit ago, when I started to get too handsy. He wants you.. I want you." He told me.

Everything was moving so quickly in my head, I didn't know how to take all of this. But, I knew deep down that this guy doesn't want to hurt me. He would never do that. I looked over at him, and slowly crawled to him. I wrapped my arms around his shoulders and whispered into his ear. "I know you won't hurt me. I trust you." I pulled back my head and slowly kissed him.
