The morning was bright as ever, a new day begins and the field sparkles as the sun shines over it. The grass dance as the morning breeze passes by and the birds flying off from the trees' thin branches to get their morning worm.

From the simple house up the hill stumbles out the two farm children, Marcus and his sister Sarah, running down the slopes and onto the farm fields of their father who woke up before dawn, doing his work before breakfast.

"Father!" Marcus calls out.

"What is it Marcus?" His father replied.

"Can me and Sarah catch fish in the river?" Marcus says.

Their father hesitates for a moment but seeing his children's eyes, pleading for a yes, no parent could say no to that.

"Very well but when your mother calls out for breakfast, you better run back to the house because we have a gift for you two....." The father says and Marcus and Sarah starts running towards the river. "And watch over your sister! Marcus!"

Marcus and Sarah reaches the river and starts playing, splashing water to each other laughing as they go but Marcus stops as he sees a man watching them at the other side of the river, he couldn't see the man's face because it was hooded and cloaked. He wore black clothes and Marcus sees a sword handle at his waist.

Marcus was about to call the man when his sister calls him and says.

"Look Marcus! I caught one!" She says while trying to control the slippery fish in her hands.

As Marcus looks back, the man was gone, he turns back and sees the man right on front of his sister, staring down at her, watching.

"Can you help me?" She asks the man. Marcus is frightened and couldn't move a finger but deep inside him he tries to muster the courage to confront the man.

The man raises his hand and touches the fish, the squirming fish suddenly stops and slowly dies and begins to rot. Sarah couldn't believe her eyes and drops the dead rotting fish.

"Marcus! Sarah!" Their mother calls out.

Marcus grabs his sister's hand and runs away from the man as fast they can. Sarah looks back and lets go of her brother and suddenly the man is again right in front of her, reaching out his hand to get Sarah.

"Father come quick!" Marcus cries out for help and his father rushes to their aid with an axe.

"Sarah stay away from him!" Marcus yells to her but she is drawn to the man which she couldn't explain.

"Stay away from my daughter!" Their father arrives and throws his knife at the man and he suddenly he disappears like smoke. "Marcus who is that man!?"

"I don't know, we saw him at the river and Sarah talked to him and now he is trying to take us!" Marcus replies

Their father takes them back to the house but then they hear a scream, their mother's voice calling for help and as they look for their house they saw a giant black bird trying to break in.

Their father starts running but suddenly cloaked men like the man before comes out of nowhere and surrounds them.

"Who are you! And why are you doing this!" Their father exclaims but none of them replied.

In his anger he waves his axe at one of them and the hooded man stops it with just one hand. They grab Sarah and Marcus and takes them away while the rest starts stabbing their father continously with swords. Marcus can hear the painful cries of their father, yelling no, no, don't take my children and the constant screams of their mother still begging for help.
