The air in the battlefield had an unusual feel to it because of the Demal's arrival. The fanatics took it upon themselves to fight their former masters while the Nobles and their forces took on the IronGuard and the King's army.
Their is only a thin line separating the two battles raging on, one wrong swing of a sword or one wrong arrow fired and the battle may become a battle for all, no more alliances and no friends. Though the IronGuard and the Demal don't consider an alliance yet.
Before heading out, Marcus greets his old friend Dello but too weak to greet him back.
"Father! The demons killed Lezin" Liana declared as she arrived to her father's side but he greets her with a hard slap from his hand.
"Then why are you here!" Lord Lezin exclaims. His eyes burning in anger as Liana laid in the ground. "You're alive and his dead? You left him behind didn't you!"
"I...I di...didn't do it on purporse" Liana mutters. "We were separated!"
"Then you should've given your life trying to get him!" Lord Lezin's stomps his foot on Liana's throat and keeps it on there, "You have failed so many times Liana, if your mother could only see you now!"
Trying desparately to remove her father's foot off her throat but he only presses harder, nearly suffocating her entirely.
"You're mother begged me to spare your life because you are from her blood but not mine! Your father was nothing, just like dirt but your mother loved him anyway and I spared your life but then you continued to fail and bring shame to my name!" Lord Lezin continued pressing his foot down and slowly Liana's strength withered away, she was on death's doorstep but then Marcus and the others arrives. The IronGuard have pushed through.
They pulled him away and took Liana to safety, leaving Lord Lezin even angrier. Later he ordered all of his men to attack without any thought for their lives.
While running away Finn decides to ask the ugly question. "Why did we have to save her?"
"You don't know Finn? So there is something about the company that you don't know" Thren says and laughs and Finn only gives a confused expression as a reply.
The battle raged on for another hour until the fanatics were forced to retreat and the nobles surrendered although Lord Lezin and the other leaders were either killed or committed suicide when the battle was lost. Lord Lezin died without knowing that his eldest son was kept alive under the orders of Marcus.
Now there are only two armies left standing on the field and their leaders have to decide what will happen next. Half torn banners and torn black cloaks dance with the light breeze but smoke and blood makes the smell.
The Queen of the Demal, escorted by Mordin and five others stand in the middle of the two armies met by Lord Harold escorted by Lady Therese and the other Talon Knights along with Gildas and Marcus.
Before the start of negotiations, the Queen takes off her hood and cloak and followed by her people. Showing the IronGuard and the King's soldiers who and what they really are. Many fell silent after seeing their faces especially the soldiers but they also realized Marcus was not lying to them. The Demal are not evil spirits like they imagined they were.
They were caught off guard when they saw the queen's beauty and fairness, she also showed wisdom despite her young age.
"Brother, do you mind introducing me?" The queen asks Marcus and all eyes turned to him in an instant.
"Of my Queen" Marcus stepped out of Lord Harold's escort and walked across to Sarah's side. "My lords and ladies may I present the Queen of the Demal, Sarah Silver. My sister"
