A cold wind blows over his body as he walked in the dark halls of the demon fortress. Guided only by Mordin, not knowing if he is being led into a trap or to what he wants. They passed by hundreds of demons who looked at him with disgust and anger but they seemed to be afraid of Mordin whenever he would look at them they would take a step back and lightly bow their heads. All the demons he saw was all cloaked and armored in black but Marcus knows there's something underneath all that mystery. When they arrived no one touched him, they even let Marcus keep his sword which causes suspicion in Marcus' mind. He is their enemy and they are his but why would they let him keep his sword, is it because Mordin is with him or they are saying that having a sword doesn't matter. If he tries to fight he'll be easily killed.
"Are you afraid Lord Marcus?" Mordin asks as they turn a corner with no one there. "You seem wary"
"I'm not. I'm just..."
"Just anxious?" Mordin chuckles. "Not to worry I am here to bring you to one of the high lords"
"Then why take me here. If your high lord wants to speak he should've come to me"
"Regretting your decision to come?"
"I fear for my friends. I promised three days and I'll be back" Marcus says. remembering what he promised to Rithia.
"They'll be safe. The armies of the Demal have all been pulled back from your lands. There was some...misunderstanding these past few days"
"I already know, your minions started questioning orders and started to fight one another" Marcus said but Mordin doesn't give a reply.
They arrive at the end of the hall where a door greets them it is guarded by two demons but Mordin orders them away. Mordin knocks and waits.
"Mind your manners when you enter" Mordin says. Suddenly the sound of locks turning came from the door.
"I grew up in a farm, having manners for demons was never taught to me" The door suddenly opens and the first thing Marcus sees is the a very long table and by it demons talking and arguing.
Mordin enters but Marcus hesitates but he is pushed by a demon from behind. The door is closed and Marcus is now trapped in a room full of demons. They are talking in a language that he doesn't understand but their voice seems different. Mordin raises his hand and the voices stops. Marcus looks around and they are in a huge chamber with at least a hundred demons inside it. At the end of the long table was an empty chair. Candles and lamps are the only light in the chamber.
"May I present Marcus Silver" Mordin says, presenting Marcus to all but received no reaction. "Where is our high lord? In the sleeping chamber?" Mordin asks them and they all nod but stare at Marcus.
"This way" Mordin leads him to a staircase at the side of the chamber and Marcus follows. The stairs leads them to one door. Inside they hear humming sounds and footsteps going back and forth. Marcus looks back and sees some of the demons have followed them and they wait. "Don't draw your sword" Mordin says. "They just want to listen"
The humming sounds continue and with each tone it grew sweeter and more beautiful. Marcus listened carefully for his heart was telling him that he remembers what song was being hummed inside and with each passing second, the sweet sound drew an outburst of emotion from him. Marcus forcefully opens the door, the demons drew their swords in anger but Mordin stops them.
The humming stops and the sound of book pages slapping the floor come from the room. Marcus stood there petrified at the sight for she stood there in front of him. His heart thundered and his eyes couldn't still believe. A beautiful maiden clothe in a black dress with white and silver long hair covering her entire back and her face fair skinned.
