It's quite heartbreaking when you watch someone you love has been taken away from you. But, it is that much harder to watch them get heartbroken. I've been in love with the same man for almost four years now, in that same year, it's also been that long since we've known each other. Don't pity me when you know of this unrequited love of mine. I'd rather stay like this than be the cause of his pain. I'd rather be his shelter, his comfort, his strength, when he has none.

I'm in love with the man who is my best friend. Don't tell him that, since his friendship means more to me than anything in the world. Though, I've said such things for the past four years I've been with him, watching him fall in love with another. At some point, I was bound to break and his friendship wouldn't be enough for me.
