Oliver's POV

Tringgg. All girls stood up from their place, and wore they backpack. It had been a few weeks since Chris had adopted them, and it was currently Friday, or the three week mark of adoption.

Luna was heading towards the exit of the school, when she saw Tara heading towards the opposite direction. Luna was about to ask why, when Tara answered her question-

"I'm going to my astronomy club, ill cycle back, so no need to come down"

Both the girls cycled to school and back, and during school hours, they would lock it and keep it in the shed, where a few others kept theirs.

On the day of their adoption, they kept their cycle in the shed, and along with Alex, they went in Blu's car, where they picked up some ice cream and got dropped off at their orphanage.

Luna just shrugged, as she skipped to her cycle, unlocked it, and started pedaling.

••••••

As she was cycling, halfway through the route, she caught glimpse of a brown box, which was shaking quite a bit. She pushed down on her brake, as her cycle was slowly yet gradually progressing towards the box, which just grew in size as she neared it.

The cycle screeched to a halt, and she mounted her cycle to a lamppost. As Luna walked towards the box, she saw a little white Labrador snoozing in it. She instantly pitied the dog, and thought that she and Tara could secretly keep the abandoned dog hidden in their room. So without disturbing the pup, she picked up the Box, and put it in the basket, as she rode through the streets of Boston.

••••••

As she reached home, she silently creaked open the door with one hand, while carrying the box in another, to check if Chris was there. As there was no noise, he most probably wasn't. So she ran. She ran as fast as she could to her room, locked it, and walked to the bathroom and set the box on the counter.

The pup opened its eyes, and started whimpering. Luna was a bit surprised why it was, so she lifted the dog.

Let's says that she found out 2 things.

1. The puppy was definitely a girl
2. It was missing a leg.

Oh no.

She set down the puppy and as she was unlocking the bathroom, to go and get some water for the puppy, the door opened.

Luna let out a breath. It was Tara.

"Hey! You know that we had the weirdest club meeting today! At the middle of discussing constellations, The medical club just barged in and handed us a bottle of pills and told us too use it if our pet is in pain! And we don't even have one! Craz-" Tara was interrupted by Luna snatching the pills from her hand, and dragging her towards the bathroom.

"Wha-Oh my God"

The puppy was whimpering and slightly yelping by now.

"So-"

"Vanilla."

"What?"

"Her name is vanilla. Now go and get some water in a bowl! AND CHUCK THE PILLS"

Luna obeyed Tara, and got some water in a shiny, metal bowl.

When she took it too the bathroom, Tara instantly leaped and dropped a pill in the water, while whirring the bowl around so the pill could dissolve faster.

As they placed it In front of Vanilla, she drank it up quickly, and from the side effects, closed her eyes and slept.

As Luna was watching Vanilla Tara made a call.

"Hi Blu, come here right now."

••••••

"You can see her now"

Blu and her mum had come to the twins shelter in a car, and as she saw Luna carrying a puppy in one hand, with 3 legs, Blu's mum had driven the down to the local vet.

Blu nodded at the twins, as they both stepped inside the vets' room, which smelt like all types of medicines, and you know.

On a little table, they saw Vanilla half asleep, playing with a toy ball, and she had a wooden leg fitted.

"Sup fellas- oh my god, what, where, when?"

There Alex was in the corner of the room, stuttering like a fool as she was confused how there was a disabled dog, and WHY her two oldest friends were fawning over it. She had already been suspicious of the direct phone call from Tara which told her to come to the vet immediately.

Tara turned back, and dragged a very very confused Alex to the other room, to explain the story of the puppy.

The vet handed Vanilla to Luna, who was shocked at Alex's outburst, but not very surprised.

"Well miss, this puppy doesn't have a home, and you did the absolute correct thing by bringing her here! I should send her to t-"

"Oh no no no, we are adopting this puppy, and will give her shelter and all that is needed"

"Very well than! I shall give you a form which you will have to just simply sign, and take 'Vanilla' home!"

Just when Luna finished signing, a less confused Alex, with Tara, walked in.

"Say hello to Vanilla Evans Woods"

At the car journey back home, it was decided to not tell Chris, and that Vanilla would secretly live in a quite spacious open cabinet, in the twins bathroom.

But, as they were telling themselves, it would be the only secret they hid, little did they know that-

There would be several more secrets to keep.
