Fire spread throughout the building, I ran along the roof jumping over the burning tile, a puff of fire threw me off my guard and I fell onto all fours. I wasn't going to let it defeat me... Not without putting up a fight...
I woke up with a start, breathing heavily and sweat pouring down my forehead. I looked around and realised that I was only in my room, thankfully. I dragged myself out and checked the time.
*6:30 a.m*
I groaned and fell back onto my bed, I knew I wasn't going to fall asleep again so I pulled on a few extra layers and walked out of my room. I walked out onto the crisp grass making my shoes wet from the early morning dew. I sighed in relief. This is what I missed about Wonderland. The freedom. The peace. The prosperity. I carried on walking, down the stone path and into a small glade where rabbits were jumping and the grass was up to my hip, I slowly walked through, the tips of my fingers brushing the grass.
"Beautiful, huh." A voice called out and whipped round, Cameron stood behind me smiling, hands stuck in his pockets. I nodded, glancing back at the rising sun.
"Aren't you angry at me?" I asked quietly, looking down at my fiddling fingers. He chuckled.
"I could never be angry at you. You remind me what I used to be like. But I promise you by the time we're finished school that you'll be good." His warm clasped my cold ones, stopping them from fiddling. He stared into my blue eyes, smiling comforting.
"I just want to stay here forever." I murmured, holding on tightly to Carlos' hand.
"Then let's stay here."
The bell rang signalling the end of the day, after staying in the field with Carlos we had to rush to lessons therefore ruining staying there forever. A tall brunette blocked my path, it was the same girl who had glared at Carlos and I.
"Yes?" I asked rudely. She rolled her eyes.
"I want you to stay away from Carlos he's mine." I rolled my eyes, so she's the possessive type.
"Uh huh and why would I do that for a prissy pink princess?"
"You don't even know my name!" I mentally face palmed.
"And your name is..." I drawled, not in the slightest interested.
"My name is Winter, I'm the daughter of Snow White." She said proudly.
"Wow your parents didn't think too hard when they thought of a name for you did they?" I said sassily, she scoffed.
"Look just stay away from Carlos, he doesn't need an evil girlfriend who never got no love from her mommy." She stuck up her nose, I felt my heart drop and I scurried away, out into the forest.
"Jack? JACK?" A voice called, I was sitting on the branch of a large tree, my leg swinging on the side. familiar blonde boy appeared beneath me. I kept quiet, not really wanting to talk but unfortunately I couldn't keep a squirrel quiet. It squeaked angrily at me making Carlos look up.
"Jack come down please." He pleaded but I shook my head before closing my eyes again.
"What did Winter say?" He asked, trying to get some sort of answer out of me.
"Did she say that I was hers?" He groaned. I hummed in response. He huffed angrily. I hummed again.
"You could've just said you were dating her you know, even if it looked like you were leading me on." I muttered before standing up and hopping along the branches of the tree to get away from the upset boy.
"What happened?" Felicity asked once I got back to the room.
"Prissy pink princess and a boy who I thought wouldn't break my heart." I whispered, cuddling into her side.
"Aww babe it's okay, this happens to all of us at some point." I smiled sadly. Felicity was always one to make a negative thing good.
"I really like him, what do I do?" I said. She thought for a moment before replying.
"We need to find you a pastime, you know to get over him. What do you like to do?" She asked, stroking my messy hair.
"Archery." I said.
"Well then do archery." She exclaimed excitedly. I shook my head.
"Alice's father is the teacher, he probably won't let me in." She gave me a small smile.
"Then make up with him." My head snapped up and I shook my head nervously.
"Nope, never, not happening. I didn't do anything to him, it was his fault that he didn't treat Alice right." She pinched her nose in frustration.
"How about I'll get you a bow and a quiver of arrows and you can keep it?" I nodded as a sharp knock came on the door. I got up and opened the door to reveal a small chalkboard and a single rose.
To me,
Well your perfect
