Blood of the Gods

1-Camp

A beat up white Toyota pulled into a clearing at the end of a dirt road, the passenger door opened and out stepped , Ky. At first glance she's pretty threatening. She stood at a impressive 5 foot 11 and was dressed in all black. With her gauges and nose stud Ky would have made a little kid cry, but she wasn't as tough as she looked and she had a soft spot, it was just buried very deeply. Ky shouldered her bag and turned around to see that her own mother had left her in the middle of the woods.
She let out a string of swear words that would have made a sailor blush. After poking around in the woods for a while she heard rustling.
"Hello?" she cried out "Is anyone there?"
When she got no response Ky ventured into that direction for a while before being confronted by several pairs of glowing red eyes and looming black bodies. Immediately recognizing them as Hell hounds from her strange dreams Ky scrambled back nearly tripping several times.
The pack of hell hounds crept foreword until the leader let out a long howl and they all surged forward leaping over everything in their path. Ky started sprinting as they continue to chase her. Adrenalin was pumping through her veins as she barely managed to stay out of reach of the hounds.
After about 1/2 kilometer the hounds chased her across a dirt road where a girl was walking. Ky was sure the hounds would run over the girl and tear her to shreds but as soon as she sees them her eyes widen and the girl starts running ahead of Ky.
Ky was thinking "Is this girl running from me or the hounds" but she pushed that aside and they both kept going. The new girls name was Jasmine Jane Lee but she preferred JJ or Jaz, she was simply walking home from a friends house when she was ambushed by the dogs and Ky. She hadn't the slightest clue what was going on, except that there was a pack of rabid dogs that wanted to rip her to shreds.
Jaz jumped a branch while Ky tripped so trying to make light of the situation she teased
"Can't keep up?"
in response Ky only scowled. Jaz decided to push it farther and went on to say;
"What you don't enjoy a little humor when you're in mortal danger?"
Ky scowled even deeply and said;
"Not really."
her voice dripping with sarcasm and annoyance.
They kept pushing and were both dripping with sweat as they continued to run through the treacherous terrain. The hell hounds kept closing in on all sides until it looked like the girls were done for. Jaz closed her eyes and prepared for the worst while Ky just stared ahead. Just as they were both bracing for the blow that never came. The girls looked back to find the hell hounds had stopped about 4 meters back.
"What do we do now?" Jaz wheezed.
"I think I see a clearing up ahead." Ky suggested emotionless
"Sure." Jaz chirped already peppy again. Ky let out a big sigh and they both started toward the bright light.
It turns out that the so called clearing was a huge valley nestled between two hills. It was dotted with clusters of buildings and there was a sparkling lake on one side that was edged with a forest on a third of it. They stood their marveling at the beautiful sight for a minute before making their way down the hill towards the biggest building. About halfway there two men with goat legs also known as satyrs came out to escort them. Ky knew what they were but Jaz didn't so as soon as one put his hand on her shoulder she swatted it off. The second time she held up her little fists and said
"Do you want to go?"
"Oh my god" Ky groaned "they're the good guys" She was already tired of having to deal with the girl. Jaz blushed but quickly replied.
"Well why would I've known that?"
Ky just scowled and sighed. They were escorted to a big blue house, Ky was lead into a room while JJ was sat on a chair in the hallway.
"Isn't this familiar" she mumbled under her breath as Jaz was very used to waiting outside the principles office at school. Inside the office Ky was greeted by a man in a wheelchair behind a desk. He offered her a seat and she wearily accepted.
"Hello I'm Chiron what's your name?" "I'm Kyra, but I prefer Ky." She said very hostile.
"What's your story Ky?" Chiron asked kindly.
She hesitantly told him, having major trust issues.
"For the last two weeks I've been having the strangest dreams. I've seen this place... and I've seen the hell hounds... and satyrs. A voice has told me that Hades is my father? I told my mom, she used some uh...
Choice words... so let's just say that she's not the best mom in the world. This morning she just dropped me off in the middle of the woods with no explanation. These huge hell hound things started chasing me and we crossed a dirt road where the dogs herded the other girl. The hell hounds dropped off but we kept going until we broke out of the woods into this place." She explained sneering when talking about Jaz.
"I see." Chiron said stroking his curly beard. "Tell the other girl to come in here" he asked Ky. She did and when Jaz went in Chiron gave her the same introduction.
"I'm Jasmine but I prefer Jaz or JJ." She exclaimed
"Tell me your story." Chiron requested " I was born in India but me and my family moved here from London 1 month ago, so I'm new to the area. Today I was walking home from my friends when suddenly that goth girl and a pack of huge rabid dogs started chasing me into the woods... And the dogs stopped but the girl and I kept going until we burst into this valley" Jaz explained happily. "What is this place anyways?" She inquired
" This is a camp and I'm the director-"
"Cool!" She exclaimed cutting him off.
"But this isn't an ordinary summer camp it's for half-bloods/Demi gods or the sons and daughters of Greek gods and goddesses." he continued.
"But..but gods aren't real" she stammered.
"Yes gods are very real and you're the daughter of one."
