Danny and I were silent while the Goblin King stared at us in interest. Although Danny and I were two steps from each other, I had an urge to be closer to him, as a wave of discomfort came upon me. Jareth was up to something and I had no idea what.
"Now what did you wish for, word for word?" His eyes sparkled as he stared into my eyes. I gulped a little trying to remember what happened before I woke up in this strange place. All I could remember were red and blue flashing lights and a rush of panic.
"I don't really remember." I replied.
Jareth remained as still as a statue, staring at me with a stoic face. He stilled looked handsome. His blonde hair slightly in his eyes, relaxed but still furrowed eyebrows. His face had such sharp beautiful... Emma! What are you doing? Don't let him in your head!
"This is going to be a problem." Jareth made a fist and then bit it in frustration. He took a few steps closer to me. "You see you simply can't stay here. You're merely mortal and the court of Mystic's would never agree." He looked at me up and down with a smirk. "What. A. Pity." He snickered softly and I felt a wave of anger come upon me.
"What do you mean we can't stay? There's no way back! How are we supposed to leave?" I started to lunge forward but Danny caught my wrist.
"Calm down Emma. This isn't a fight you'll win sweetheart." Jareths eyes twinkled and he shifted his attention but to Danny.
"What a smart mortal." He looked back at me with a look of amazement. "You on the other hand, need to learn to filter what comes out of your mouth." His blue eyes seem to be secretly intrigued in me. I felt myself slipping again, becoming more comfortable. "Yes, there is a way back. It will take a few day for the crystal to recharge, but, yes there is a way. " He continued. I looked down with dismay while Danny's jaw clenched and he let go of my wrist.
"What do you expect us to do until then?" I asked with bitter disappointment. Goblins seeped into the room without warning and Jareth eased into the crowd lounging back onto his throne.
"My goblins will see you to your rooms as you will be staying on my estate. I've found an interest in you." His eyes seemed to stare into my soul as his blue eyes met mine. He smirked and then We were rushed out by two goblins.
