The man walking into the kitchen was tall and very handsome.  His eyes were a soft sky blue, the kind you could get lost in for days. His hair was very much like Danny’s, bangs cover his forehead and it was slightly poofed, the only difference was the man’s hair was blonde. He wore tight black riding pants and a soft white tunic. His shoes were boots running up to the knee. I already guessed by his sharp cheekbones and pointed ears, that he was fae, and that he was undoubtedly the Goblin King.  My eyes widened with shock and I quickly stood up.

“erm… your highness.” I curtsied and motioned for Danny to follow me, but he just sat in his chair and continued eating.  The Goblin King smiled slightly as I returned to a standing position. Danny stopped eating and turned to acknowledge our guest.

“Danny and Emma, this is Jareth.” Tuftly gestured his hand to the Goblin King as if showcasing a car.  Danny stared at Jareth for a minute,  then got up to stand next to me.

“I haven’t even met you and you are already planning battle strategies against me. Emma, that’s you name right?” he turned to look at me and our eyes met for a split second. I could’ve sworn I saw clouds in his eyes and a little shimmer of light.  I shut my eyes fast and nodded looking back at Jareth.

“Um yeah, my names Emma. This is my friend Danny.” He looked over at Danny for a moment and replied,

“Charmed.”

“But, I’m sorry your highness, I wasn’t trying to plot against you… just to try and see things from your perspective.” I grabbed all the plates on the table and turned back to the king.

“If you don’t mind I need to get these dishes done.” He nodded then turned to Tuftly.

“Oh don’t mind me. I just have some business to talk over with Tuftly.” Tuftly gulped and looked at Danny whose eyes seemed to give him extra reinsurance.

“Don’t worry Tuf, I’ll be at the table. Besides he aint gonna hurt you.” I walked over to the sink to wash the dishes still tuning in on the conversation.

“Well put Danny. Come goblin, let us take a walk in the forest.”  I started to rinse off the plates when I hurt shuffling around the room, and soon after a door shutting.  I dropped the dish I was “washing” and walked over to the table by Danny.

“Do you want us to get kicked out? Hmm? You didn’t say one word!” I placed both of my hand on my hips and pursed my lips. This wasn’t like Danny, he got along with most people. Not just that, he’s very talkative and for him to talk to only Tuftly is crazy!

“Emma I don’t like him, or trust him. Besides he has to give me respect to earn my respect.”  Danny slumped back in his chair, one arm over the left side of the back piece. He looked me dead in the eyes as if saying, “Go ahead and challenge me. You’re going to lose.”  I groaned and threw my hands in the air.
