Chapter 5
It was dark. I was scared at first, I didn't know where I was and I was pretty sure I could hear footsteps. It took me a while before I realised those footsteps where mine. I looked to my left. Nagato's eyes were lighting up the darkening gloom, as they always did. I could only guess this was part of the mission. 'Nagato?' I said. 'Where are we going?' I asked. 'We need information,' came Yahiko's voice from behind me. I turned around; I could see the outline of him and Konan. Where was Hoshi? It was then I realised we were running. Wow, I wasn't with it today. 'That doesn't really answer my question.' I said. 'We're going to talk to someone from the organization who can get us information as soon as possible.' said Konan. I nodded even though she couldn't see me, I was pretty sure Nagato was the only one who knew what direction they were going in. We came to a halt in front of a huge cliff. How many were there? Instead of saying 'release', however, which was what I'd expected, Yahiko knocked on the cliff three times. Suddenly, a door-like shape came out of the cliff and a man stepped out. The light was dazzlingly bright and it hurt my eyes. Although, it seemed like it was just me suffering from burning eyes. The man’s outline seemed muscular. 'Yahiko? Is that you?' he asked, sounding surprised, his voice was hypnotic and I felt like I was being enchanted. 'Yes, may we come in? We need information?' Yahiko asked. 'I suppose,' he said, sounding taken aback. He stepped out the way and let us walk in. After the last person, which was me, had walked in he closed the door. It was then I noticed just how handsome he was. He had black, indulgent hair and his eyes were intriguing like Nagato's but I couldn't think why. Damn this amnesia. 'Who's the girl?' he said pointing to me. I blushed, he was incredibly handsome. 'Our plan of revenge.' Yahiko said. The man nodded and walked towards us. 'What do you need to know?' he asked, stepping passed us and walking over to a case at the end of his bed to put on a t-shirt. I was a little upset about him putting a t-shirt on. 'Well it's quite simple really; we need to know a bit more about the Hidden Leaf Village's defences.' Nagato said. As he closed the case I realised how big it was, big enough to fit a human inside. He went to a cupboard and pulled out a scroll. 'This should tell you what you need to know.’ Konan took it off of him and opened it; she laid it down in front of us all. 'I see that...' I heard Yahiko say but I'd trailed off. The man's eyes were hauntingly interesting. I couldn’t think about what it was that interested me. Nagato must have noticed my staring because he abruptly said, 'I think we've seen enough here, sorry for disturbing your sleep, we shall go now.' We stood up ready to leave and it was as I got to the door I realised I knew what it was. I turned around and opened my mouth; ready to ask him about his Sharingan but then it all when black.
I sat up. I don't know why, but every time I wake up now I end up being startled, like I wasn't supposed to wake up yet. However, I guessed I was as there was a sign on my door saying 'Hey sleepy head, didn't want to wake you, thought you deserved the rest, so just come down to the training room when you're ready -Nagato'. He was so strange. I stood up and put some training clothes on that were, conveniently, in my drawers. I stepped out my room and found Konan and Yahiko sitting on the couch talking. As I wasn't sure where the training room was, I asked them. They told me to go down the hallway on the left until I reached a door, with a scratch in the middle. It would be on the right. I started walking down the corridor when Hoshi stepped out of a room and grunted at me. She looked angry at me all the time. I wasn't quite sure why she didn't like me, but then, I didn't like her back. I continued walking down until I saw a green door with a scratch in the middle. I opened the door and found Nagato sitting cross-legged on the floor. He turned around when he heard the door open and smiled when he saw me.
'Nice to see you awake,' he said. I smiled.
'You don't usually get people being treated like slaves,' I joked.
He looked at me seriously as if he was concerned about my mental health then realised I was joking and smiled again.
'What can I say?' He said, 'We treat our best the toughest.'
