*June's viewpoint*
I slept cuddled up to Meck for warmth. There weren't any heavy blankets around and I wasn't about to ask Casey for one either. The room was freezing so I shivered a bit as I was curled up to Meck. I grabbed the covers and wrapped them around myself. I tried going to bed but it wouldn't work. So I just laid up against Meck and waited.

*Meck's viewpoint*
I woke up to June shivering next to me asleep. She really was glowing brightly with the magic surrounding her.

I smiled at her and wrapped my arms around her. I pressed her close and she began to stop shivering. I looked down at her and sighed before laying my head back down and going to sleep.

*June's viewpoint*
I woke up and wasn't as cold as I was when I had fallen back asleep. Then I realized why. Meck had wrapped his arms around me and pulled close to him. I also noticed the giant furry cat pressed against my back. I gulped and turned my head slightly to see a panther sized cat that was orange with a tinge of red. It had its back pressed against mine so I figured that if I tried carefully enough I could slip out of the bed. I started to move and the panther's ear flicked and I stopped. It didn't wake up so I quickly and carefully slipped out of the bed and hurried to the bathroom.

When I came out the panther wasn't on the bed and I panicked as I heard something next to me.

I turned my head and saw the panther, it was looking at me curiously. I gulped and started to back away when the panther growled and lunged at me.

I ducked and shielded myself but it jumped over my head and had apparently pinned someone down because I heard a thud and a groan.

I turned around to see the panther had pinned Casey down. I grinned and walked next to the panther, looking down at Casey and petted it's head. "Good panther." I said proudly and smiled at it and it looked back up at me with what looked to be a smile as well.

"Get this stupid thing off of me!" Casey shouted and the panther growled.

I growled and moved the panther a little before setting a foot on his chest. "No. And you don't and shall not give me orders. I have my right to freedom."

Casey stopped and then took a closer look at the panther and gasped. The panther smiled and stepped off him, grabbing me and pulling me off of him as well.

"Hey! What was that for?" I look at the panther.

Casey stood up and knelt down on one knee with his head bowed to the panther. "Please forgive me my Lord. I didn't realize it was you." He said and kept his head down.

I look over at him. "That's a pan-" I was cut off as red mist swirled around the panther and a man came out of it. The man had a dark red suit on and it was obvious he was buff even if he did look a bit scrawny. He had white hair that made his deep blue crystal eyes shine. He was the perfect tan, not too much and not too little.

I gawked at him.

"Stand up Casey. No need for that in front of our guest. I'm sure our guest is hungry, go and make some breakfast for her." The man said.

"Yes, sir." Casey said and stood up before rushing out of the room.

The man turned to me and smiled. He looked over at the bed where Meck was starting to stir. I looked over at Meck as well. "I completely forgot he was still asleep."

Meck sat up with a groan, yawned and stretched, rubbed his eyes then blinked his eyes open. He jumped when he saw the man and instantly stood up before kneeling like Casey had. "My Lord. I didn't know that you'd be here. I can explain."

"Loku, stand up my old friend. You need not to bow to me for we are equals." The man said.

Meck looked up before standing. He stayed tense though, his senses looking alert. He looked at me and his gaze softened.

"So, are you going to introduce me to your lady friend? She seems like a nice young lady, but in her eyes I can see tremendous power." The man said.

"Oh yes. This is June. And me and Casey have noticed it as well." Meck said.

The man looked at me. "Its nice to meet you June. I'm Betan, the Lord of Hell. And I'm sure you've known Loku for a while now, he's my second in command."

I blinked and drool must have been dripping from my mouth because I saw humor in his eyes. I blinked a couple times then closed my mouth and wiped it. Then it hit me and I looked at Betan. "So you're the panther that had been snuggling with me?!" He nodded and a smile formed on his lips.

"Yes. I had noticed that you were cold so I warmed you up by sleeping next to you." Betan said.

I shook my head. "That's no reason to snuggle up to me! I was just fine by myself."

"Well, actually you were shivering before I pulled you to me." Meck said.

I looked over at him. "That'd explain why I was cuddled up to him..." I then looked back at Betan. "But I still want to know how he got in here."

Betan smiled at me and I frowned at him.

"So. What are you doing here Bet? Other than warming June up." Meck asked.

"Well I had came to rescue you but I see that it won't be needed." Betan said. "And can we step out of the room to talk without June listening in?"

"Of course my Lord." Meck said and they stepped out into the hall, leaving me alone.

I sighed and looked around the room and noticed that the shelves had tones of books that I didn't recognize. I walked over to one and scanned through them, they were of magic, unknown books, supernatural beings, you think it and it was there. There were no normal human books so I settled for a book named The types of supernatural creatures, then went to the bed and laid on my stomach and opened it up to start reading.
