Wednesday. What a depressing word. Say it right now. The sound of it is horrible. Middle of the week, nothing happens on Wednesday. EastEnders isn’t even on. On the plus side, I am half-way towards the weekend.
Saturday night was quite fun actually. After my conversation with Liam, Louis offered to take me home. I was more than fine to walk home by myself, but thinking logically about it, walking home on my own, in the dark around a part of London that I'm not all familiar with wasn’t my brightest idea.
English was actually going rather fast, and it was almost lunchtime. My favourite part of the day. One of the many things me and char have in common.
“Right class, Dont forget your essay is due in tomorrow, you’ve had all week to do it so I will not be taking any excuses, right your free to go” My English teacher said before sitting back down in his chair
“Shit, ive done hardly any, how much have you done Rubes?” Alo asked me as I packed away my books
“Sorry bud, only just got to do a conclusion then I'm finished” I said putting my bag over my shoulders
“uhh, not to worry” he said before slinging his backpack on
It was horrible weather, like usual for late October. The sun had completely vanished and left us with the grey miserable clouds to make our days even worse. Since the weather had become worse, we decided to start meeting up with the group in the building by the main stairs. Because this was a High School and a Sixth form, there were children running around. Where we sit now wasn’t over crowded with high school students, but there were a few people who we would glady throw against the wall.
“guys my mum packed me Tuna, anybody want to swap?” Alo asked
“Yeah, ive got cheese” Chase said and chucked it towards him
Now I'm not a genius, but something had definitely happened between them two. When I first came here, I could tell there was some awkwardness between both of them, but now, well they seem to be getting on like a house on fire.
I heard my phone vibrate in my pocket so I put my chicken wrap down and got it out.
1 new message from unknown
‘Hey Rubes, Its Niall, I got your number off Louis, hope that’s cool, anyways fancy meeting up for a coffee later? Dont worry if you can’t, or don’t want too, But give us a text back if you’re up for it! N xx’
I could already tell that my cheeks had become a brighter shade of pink then they normally are and I could feel myself getting hotter.
“Oh, who’s the text from?” Livvy asked
“Oh no one, don’t worry” I replied
“Is it that Louis guy?” Chase asked
“Naa, its just mum, don’t worry, nothing important” I said as I quickly replied to the text
‘Hey Niall, Yeah sure I'm up for it, What time do you fancy meeting? R xx’
Sent. I quickly put my phone back in its pocket.
It’s not that I don’t want people to know I'm texting another guy, its just I'm afraid that they’ll judge me or think I'm a whore for texting somebody who isn’t the person who they think I'm texting. If you get it? There some of the nicest people I know, and I don’t want them to think I'm some slut. I know texting isn’t really anything wrong, but texting the guy who you’re meant to be texting best friend doesn’t come across as a nun does it.
“We have ping pong last rubes, you up for it?” Cait asked me
“Bring it on” I replied
I felt my phone vibrate again against my side and saw I had a new message
