Her heart pounded as she ran, she glanced behind her as she tried to get away. He smiled as he ran after her, he enjoyed the chase. She tripped as she ran, landing hard on her hands, she turned and looked at him. He smiled, his fangs shining in the moonlight. He pinned her to the ground as he flipped her onto her back. He kissed her palms, tasting the sweet liquor of her blood. She shivered as he did. He smiled as he leaned in and gently kissed her neck, she laughed breathlessly as she wrapped her arms around his neck. "You enjoy doing that way to much." she told him as she smiled. He smiled back at her, "Of course I do my dear." he replied as he kissed her gently. He pulled her to her feet as he stood up. She smiled at him blissfully, and he smiled back.
A figure stalked the couple; he held a crossbow and lifted it. He aimed at the vampire, making sure he wouldn't hit the creature's victim. He smiled as he pulled the trigger.
The vampire gasped in pain and collapsed, she was barely able to keep him on his feet. She looked at him worriedly as she held him up. "Please hold on Kylar." she pleaded softly, Kylar looked at her. "I...I love you Emma." he said softly before he went completely limp. Tears ran down Emma's cheeks as she looked for the person that had killed him. She saw a man holding a crossbow walking towards her.
The man smiled as he saw the vampire dead and the girl unhurt other then the scrapes on her hands. He was surprised by the horrified and angry expression on her face, he kneeled beside her. "Its okay." he said softly as he looked at her. Emma looked at him; she slapped him as hard as she could. "Get away from me!" she said sharply. She glared at him coldly, "Why?! Why did you kill him!?" she nearly screamed.
He looked at her in shock, "H... He was going to kill you, he was a vampire." He managed to say as he looked at her. "I know that! He would never have hurt me!" she snapped at him.
