A Smile

A tear. A little drop of water that has so much meaning. A tear can represent many things. Happiness. Sadness. Fear. But do you know why is even more powerful and had more meaning? A smile. A smile only has one meaning, making it the most valuable expression. A smile represents happiness- to most people. To some people it represents insecurity and sadness. "How is that possible? They're smiling!" You say. See that's exactly it. A simple smile can hide a whole hell. A person who is sad doesn't want to explain why they are that way, so they take all their emotion in a little bucket and dump it in the sea. The eyes are the sea. The emotion makes the waves violent, crashing harshly against the already damp sand, overflowing onto the cheeks. The waves get so out of hand that some people go mad, ripping their flesh apart, trying to let it escape. Some people don't eat so they don't add fuel to the fire or add to the storm. It gets to the point that some people don't realize that the sea is acting this way because of the position of the moon, which will soon change, and they go walk into the water, sinking into it, accepting something that isn't true causing the water to tame. Permanently.
