Have you ever just stared at the ceiling, thinking about nothing at the weirdest times ever? Well that's just what I am doing at the moment. I can hear my bedside alarm slowly ticking away knowing that in a minute or two I need to get up and attend my first day of my senior year. Yes you heard it right, first day of my senior and final year of high school and I know most people would be really excited to attend their senior year but I'm not most people.
I didn't really introduce myself. I'm Brianna Heart, now a senior at Northwestern High, I'm definitely one of the most sarcastic people you will ever come across. Except for the fact that I'm a regular teen living with my parents trying to figure out what to do in life, I have two best friends Chloe Harris and Jane Mathews. I literally couldn't live without either of them. I met them both in 4th grade and we just clicked. Since then we have never actually drifted apart.
The beeping of the stupid alarm clock ends my short little monologue. I guess I need to get up and get ready now. I slowly crawl out of my bed and reluctantly start getting ready for school. I'm not one of those girly girls who get up really early just to get ready. I love my sleep. I would rather sleep till the last moment rather than play dress up. Even after years of attending school I'm still not used to getting up at such early and ungodly hours.
I walk into my bathroom and take in my gorgeous morning appearance. I quickly wash my hair and get dressed in a sleeveless purple top with a lilac cardigan and dark blue jeans. Okay when I say I'm not a girly girl that doesn't mean I don't know what matches with what. Plus if I didn't know that, I would be at the mercy of my two best friends who love playing dress up with me being the doll. For my shoes my trustworthy pair of boots which I picked up from Nordstrom Rack like a month ago. For my make up or lack of, I keep it simple - a little mascara and lip gloss.
I grab my bag and run downstairs for breakfast. I absolutely love food. Downstairs I am greeted my parents. My mom, Sarah Elliot Heart, is a doctor and is the typical working mother who absolutely loves spending time with her family. My dad Theodore Heart is a civil lawyer and we are really close, I don't really keep secrets from him. I totally adore both my parents being the youngest kid in the family and the only one who lives with them.
"Good morning mom and dad." I say while grabbing a serving of the pancakes placed on the counter .
"Good morning Bri. All excited about the first day ,huh?" My dad says eyeing my plate.
"Yeah totally, I absolutely love getting up at 7 in the morning. And stop eyeing my breakfast." As I say that my father rolls his eyes and goes back to reading his newspaper.
Meanwhile my mom eats her Panini and looks at us, amused. She rarely gets to eat breakfast with us since she usually is at the hospital.
As I eat the last bite, I hear a car honk outside my house. It was Chloe and Jane.
"Just on time. Bye my lovely parents I'll see you at dinner?" I say while kissing them on their cheeks.
"I might be on call honey, but I'll try to be in time for dinner." My mom says while my dad just nods at me.
I nod in response and walk out making sure I have everything with me. Outside I'm greeted by my two best friends. I hop into the backseat of Jane's black Prius.
Chloe has waist length orange-ish hair. She is the goody two shoes of our small little group. Besides being the most intelligent person in school with straight A's, she absolutely loves reading rom-coms. She is a great dancer but is shy so it's a hidden talent which only a few know about. Little advice though do not play any game with her, she's damn competitive and starts to boil if she loses.
Jane has shining green eyes with shoulder length dark brown hair. She is the outgoing and brave one amongst our small little group. She is okay at studies but nothing like Chloe. She usually is the one that keeps us together and has a very realistic view in life. She excels at sports and loves playing the piano.
