"Thanks a lot!" Chloe says to him, as soon as she steps into the car.

She keeps mumbling about how I never send my car for maintenance and need to get a new one. I think it's because of the thought of being late is never okay with Chloe.

"It's okay."

After 15 minutes of Arctic Monkeys blasting through the Tesla's 8 speakers we reach school.

"Really, thanks a ton for saving me there Scott, Chloe would have killed me if she missed class."

"It's really not a big deal and anyhow isn't this what friends are for?" he replies smiling at me.

"Too cheesy" I say as we enter school.

I grab my books and quickly made my way to the my homeroom. During the class, at one point, I feel something hit my head. I look around to find a paper ball at my desk. Out of curiosity I open it and five letters jump out at me. In a neat bold handwriting is written SORRY. I turn to see Alec staring at me with a mixture of amusement and sheepishness. I just smile and turn to face the teacher.

At lunch, all of us sit together and Chloe asks me and I quote, "So Bri are you going to the party tonight at Jake's house. Even though you don't really enjoy parties, it's the senior year. Let's all go. What say?". This was accompanied with puppy dog eyes and a smile that could kill.

Jake is a senior who is on the football team, he is his multimillionaire father's only child. He also owns the biggest private pool in town and drives his Maserati to school. And a minor detail he's Chloe's second cousin. He throws this 'welcome to school' party every year. Roughly the whole school attends his party, from the Chess Club nerds to Stacey's minions. The entire school is there every year and this year was going to be no exception. This was his last year so this year's party was going to be legen - wait for it - dary. I'm not being a Barney Stinson fangirl but honestly that's what the flyers said. Yes flyers, he has the cheerleaders put one in every single person's locker.

Parties and I don't really get along. Now I know most of you must think that it's because I prefer to stay at home curled up with a book and even though that thought is really comforting, it's because I either drink too much or end up taking care of my friends.

"Okay. I'll come only if you promise me that you both don't drink too much." I say. I know that even if they promise me they still will drink more than they can handle but this time I'll have Scott to help me.

"We promise." Jane says with a huge smile. I look over at Scott and he nods promising to do the same.

The bell rings and we get going. After a while, it becomes obvious that the entire senior class is excited about tonight's party. Everywhere you go you can hear people talking about the party, what they will wear (well only the girls talk about that), who is coming and stuff like that.

All this hype makes it seem like this is a really big deal. Maybe it is for some people but I'm not one of them and neither are my friends. For us it's just a chance to have fun. This year is our last year together and I want to live every moment of it to it's fullest.

School goes by on a blur. Alec and I aren't really on talking terms. When we pass by each other he either ignores me or nods. It is becoming a bit confusing but I guess it comes with the territory. He is the 'jerk' of the school so he has to keep up with appearances. Now I know that this might sound a bit judgmental but it's true.

After school, the girls and I go back to my house. We decide that I would be the designated driver since I had agreed to no drinking. The girls really wanted to meet Jayden ,plus my house was closer to Jake's so there wasn't much debate.
