The Story: Jacob Cass, an NXT upstart who went from rookie, to superstar. Making a name for himself, he faced many established superstars and has even participated in some of the biggest matches of the year. Cass also won the 2015 Royal Rumble and has won his first WWE Championship, at Wrestlemania.
But as Summerslam drew closer, Cass knew he wanted a challenge, that will test his abilities and limits like never before. Thus, Cass made an open challenge to any superstar, for a match at the biggest party of the summer. And suddenly, it happened...
...The one who answered the call, was none other than HBK himself, Shawn Michaels. Over the weeks, Cass and Michaels have been trading verbal barbs at one another. But all the talking came to a head, on the final RAW before Summerslam.
As Cass was delivering an empassioned statement to the WWE Universe, Michaels would deliver a statement of his own. As Cass left, after he addressed the fans, Michaels would then hit a sudden Sweet Chin Music on Cass. The fans are in for a match unlike any other, WWE's newest rising star, Jacob Cass vs "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, at Summerslam.

The Match: Cass and Michaels wanted to feel each other out, so the start of the contest was slow. They traded technical holds and reversals, with both of them reaching a stalemate, multiple times.
Cass then tied up Shawn for a Greco Roman Knuckle Lock. Cass won the test of strength, by pushing Michaels across the ring. Cass then decides to up the pace, by trading knife edge chops with Shawn. As the chop fest intensifies, Cass then catches Michaels with a dropkick and then follows it up, with a clothesline.
Michaels then counters Cass' attempt at a Scoop Slam, by shoving Cass shoulder first into the ring post. Michaels then goes to work, by focusing his attack on Cass' shoulder. Michaels did many arm based attacks to Cass' shoulder, including Armlock Scoop Slamming him on the concrete floor. Cass then tries to battle back, but Michaels catches him with an Enziguri, causing Cass to lean on the Spanish announce Table.
Michaels then attempts a springboard Moonsault, but Cass moves out of the way and Michaels crashes, ribs first into the edge of the table. Michaels then clenches his midsection, while Cass moves into the ring. Cass then gets a running start and he hits Michaels with a suicide dive. Cass then rolls Michaels back into the ring.
Cass then fights through the pain and begins to run his shoulder, into the ribs of Shawn Michaels. Cass then further compromises the ribs of Michaels, by suplexing him. Cass then attempts a Standing Moonsault on Michaels, but HBK rolls out of the way and he hits a flying forearm on Cass.
Michaels then kips-up and he hits Cass with a Atomic Drop, followed by a Scoop Slam. Michaels then slowly, climbs the top rope, but Cass leaps up and tosses Michaels, with a Belly To Belly suplex. Cass then points up in the air, signaling for the Moonsault. Cass then attempts the maneuver, but Michaels pushes Cass out of the ring.
Cass lands hard on his shoulder and he winces in pain. As Cass gets to his feet, Michaels hits him with a Moonsault from the tope rope. Michaels then rolls Cass, back into the ring. Michaels then locks in an Armbar on Cass, further weakening his shoulder.
Cass manages to fight through the pain and he slips out of the hold, reversing it into a Rear Naked Choke. Michaels then manages to get out of the hold and he hits Cass with a sudden, Sweet Chin Music. Michaels goes for the cover, but Cass kicks out at two.
Michaels then attempts to hit the Top Rope Elbow, as he tried to before. Cass once again stops Michaels, but this time, Michaels knocks Cass down from the top rope and Michaels quickly, hits the elbow. Michaels then begins to tune up the band, as he gets ready to kick Cass, Cass suddenly counters with a Super Kick of his own.
Cass then goes for the cover on Michaels, but HBK gets the shoulder up at a count of two. Cass then signals for the Brain Buster, but Michaels countered it into a Sunset Flip pin. Cass managed to kick out at two, but he quickly turns it into a Jackknife Cover. Michaels then reverses it, into a Backslide pin for a two count.
Cass then Irish whips Michaels into the ring ropes and as Michaels gains speed, Cass attempts a Hurricanrana, but Michaels powerbombs Cass and he quickly traps the young superstar, in the dreaded Figure Four Leg Lock. After suffering agonizing pain, Cass manages to reverse the pressure.
Cass then catches Michaels in the Cass-Angle submission hold. Michaels manages to reach the ropes and break the hold. Cass then charges at Michaels, but HBK tosses him over the rope. Cass lands on the apron and Michaels attempts a Suplex, but Cass counters it into a Brain Buster. Cass goes for the cover, but Michaels kicks out at two and a half.
Cass the tries another Brain Buster, but Michaels counters on instinct, with a desperation DDT. Shawn then tunes up the band and he hits a second Sweet Chin Music on Cass. Shawn then goes for the cover, but Cass, miraculously, got his shoulder up at two and a half.
The Brooklyn crowd started chanting "This Is Awesome", as Cass and Michaels struggled to get to their feet. Michaels and Cass then trade Knife Edge Chops back and forth. Cass then blocks the Sweet Chin Music, but Michaels hits an Enziguri to Cass, stunning him.
Michaels then kicks Cass in the midsection and he hits a devastating Piledriver on him. Cass once again kicks out at a two count. Michaels then tries for another Sweet Chin Music, but Cass ducks underneath it and he hits a second Brain Buster on Shawn and the referee, counts the three.
Winner: Jacob Cass
After The Match: Cass and Shawn shake hands and they both received a standing ovation, as Shawn raises Cass' hand in victory.
