MATCH 6: WWE CHAMPIONSHIP: STING VS DEAN AMBROSE

The Story: The Icon Sting became the WWE Champion after defeating Jacob Cass and Dolph Ziggler, inside a Steel Cage. Since then, The Vigilante has successfully defended the WWE Championship, night in and night out.

After defeating Jacob Cass at Money In The Bank, Sting announced a WWE Championship open challenge, for all superstars who want an opportunity. At the same time however, a Battle Royal was announced and it featured the entire WWE Roster. The winner would be next in line, to face Sting for the WWE Championship, at Summerslam.

Many have entered, but only one remained... The Lunatic Fringe, Dean Ambrose! Ambrose would finally have a chance, to live his dream. Week after week, Sting and Ambrose have been building momentum for their encounter. On the final RAW before Summerslam, during a contract signing, Dean Ambrose would send a huge message to the Icon, by giving him a Dirty Deeds through a table.

Will Ambrose turn his dream into reality? We find out now.

The match: As the bell rang, Sting and Ambrose begin to lock up. They trade various chain holds back and forth, until they reached a stalemate. Ambrose and Sting then lock up again, but Ambrose wrestles The Icon into a backslide for a 2 count.

Sting and Ambrose then tie up again, but Sting wrestles him to the ground and he traps The Lunatic Fringe in a Side Headlock. Ambrose manages to fight out and hit a dropkick on Sting. Ambrose then goes for the cover, but Sting kicks out at two. Ambrose then begins to up the pace by attacking Sting while he is recovering.

Sting then battles back and Clotheslines Ambrose out of the ring. While Ambrose is recovering, Sting then dives over the top rope and takes down Ambrose. Sting then throws Ambrose into the security wall and he rolls Ambrose back into the ring.

Sting then continues to wear down Ambrose throughout the first half. Moments later, when Sting gets ready for s Stinger Splash, Ambrose kicks Sting in the face and he connects with a running bulldog to The Vigilante. Ambrose then dropkicks Sting in the face, while he is trying to get up, Ambrose goes for the cover, but Sting kicks out at two.

Ambrose then attempts a dropkick, but Sting catches Ambrose, into a Jacknife Cover for a two count. Sting then initiates a comeback and he hits Ambrose with a Stinger Splash. Sting tries to hit the Scorpion Deathdrop on Ambrose, but Ambrose counters it into a Suplex.

Ambrose then Locks Sting in a modified STF. Sting manages to slip out of the hold and lock in the Scorpion Deathlock. Ambrose manages to reach the ropes and break the hold. Sting and Ambrose then begin to trade punches with each other. Sting wins the punch off, but the punch sends Ambrose into the ropes and The Lunatic Fringe hits a earth shaking Rebound Clothesline on Sting.

Ambrose then stalks Sting for the Dirty Deeds, but Sting counters with a DDT. Sting then goes to the top rope and he hits a Diving Stinger Splash on Ambrose. Sting then goes for the cover, but Ambrose kicks out at two. Sting then tries again, to hit the Scorpion Deathdrop, but Ambrose quickly counters it into the Dirty Deeds. Ambrose quickly goes for the cover, but Sting gets the shoulder up, at two and a half.

Ambrose then goes to the top rope and he attempts a elbow drop, but Sting rolls out of the way and he hits the Scorpion Deathdrop on Ambrose. Sting then goes for the cover, but Ambrose kicks out at two and a half.

Sting then tries for another Scorpion, but Ambrose fights out and he dropkicks Sting. Both men then struggle to get to their feet, as they get to their feet, Ambrose slaps Sting, but Sting returns the favor. Each slap that the two competitors land, they fire up one another. It was not long however, until Ambrose started attacking Sting, with a combination of punches and chops. Sting however, reversed Ambrose and started chopping away at his chest.

Ambrose then, suddenly, hits a second Dirty Deeds on Sting. Dean then slowly crawls into the cover, but Sting kicks out at two and a half again. Ambrose then decides to try a dive attack on Sting. Sting gets to his feet and Ambrose dives from the top rope, right into a Scorpion Deathlock. Sting pulls Ambrose into the center of the ring and he sits on his back.

Instead of tapping out, Dean Ambrose passed out from the pain, giving Sting the victory.

Winner and Still WWE Champion: Sting

After the match: A disappointed Dean Ambrose walks backstage to a Standing Ovation from the Brooklyn crowd. He then turns to the camera and says, "This is not the end, I will not stop until that gold is around my waist, one way or the other!"
