The Story: It is one of the most dangerous matches in WWE history, the Ladder match. Years ago, the WWE introduced the Money In The Bank Ladder match, at Wrestlemania 21 and ever since then, the WWE has never been the same.

But at Summerslam of last year, a staple of TNA was added... The King Of The Mountain Ladder match. Last year, Chey Taylor won this match, to become a 20 time World Champion. Now, Daniel Bryan must defend the World Heavyweight Championship against eight other Hungry competitors.

The rules are simple, you must climb the Ladder, but instead of simply taking the title down from above, you must hook the championship above the ring. The person who does that, will be World Heavyweight Champion... And the King Of The Mountain!

The Competitors
Champion: Daniel Bryan
Challengers: Sami Zayn, Rob Van Dam, Goldberg, Craig Chandler, Sean Mercer, Mr. Kennedy, CM Punk.

The Match: All of the competitors got into a brawl, at the start of the match. Moments later, Orton and Goldberg knocked each other out of the ring, prompting Daniel Bryan and CM Punk, to hit a double suicide dive on both men.

Craig Chandler, then followed up with a flying body attack off of the top rope, landing on both Punk and Bryan. Rob Van Dam then flips off of the steel steps and onto Craig, Bryan and Goldberg. Sami Zayn, who is inside the ring, then vaults himself over the ropes and lands on RVD and the others.

Mr. Kennedy then climbs a ladder on the outside and he hits a Kenton Bomb on the competitors outside of the ring. Sean Mercer then gets a running start and he dives over the ropes and onto the men outside.

The carnage continues on the outside as multiple bodies are slammed into Ladders. Meanwhile, in the ring, Randy Orton grabs the championship and he looks to hook it above the ring, but Mr. Kennedy stops Orton and he pulls him down from the Ladder.

Kennedy and Orton then trade punches back and forth with each other, Kennedy then kicks Randy in the midsection and he hits a Green Bay Plunge, slamming Orton on a ladder. Craig Chandler then comes in and dropkicks Kennedy, sending him to the outside.

Craig then grabs the championship and he attempts to hook it above the ring, but Sami Zayn climbs up and he exchanges fists with Craig. Craig then tries to toss Zayn from the ladder, but Zayn counters it into a DDT that sends them both plummeting down to the mat.

Zayn then grabs the championship and he attempts to win his first World Championship, but Goldberg comes in and he powerbombs Zayn through a Ladder on the outside. Goldberg then attempts to hook the title above the ring, but Mr. Kennedy pulls Goldberg in between the Ladder.

Kennedy and CM Punk then grab two Ladders and they sandwich them into Goldberg. Kennedy and Punk then begin to fight on the wedged Ladder. Mr Kennedy then attempts a Green Bay Plunge on Punk, but Punk reverses it into a GTS knocking Kennedy off the Ladder.

Punk then grabs the championship and he attempts to hook it above the ring. Then, Sean Mercer climbs onto the Ladder and he stops Punk. Daniel Bryan then joins in the fray. As the wedged Ladder gave away, Bryan grabbed onto Mercer, thus pulling him down from the Ladder. Bryan then catches Mercer with a Roundhouse Kick and he climbs up the Ladder, quickly, to stop Punk.

Punk and Bryan then trade punches with each other, twenty feet above the ring. Mercer then grabs another Ladder and while Punk attempts to suplex Bryan, Mercer does a huge Sunset Flip Powerbomb that causes both men to crash and burn.

Meanwhile, on the outside, Craig Chandler sets up four Tables near the entrance way. Back in the ring, Mercer then attempts to hook the championship above the ring, but Rob Van Dam knocks Mercer off the Ladder, by throwing a Steel Chair in his face.

Van Dam then drags Mercer into the corner and he places the chair in his face. Van Dam then climbs the Ladder and he does a devastating Coast to Coast dropkick, onto Mercer and the Steel Chair. Rob then tries to hook the championship above the ring, but Orton, hits a devastating RKO on Van Dam, causing him to fall off of the Ladder.

Randy Orton then goes into an RKO frenzy, hitting the devastating finisher on everyone that crosses him. Then, from out of nowhere, Sami Zayn dropkicks  Orton out of the ring. Zayn then goes out of the ring, he dives in between the turnbuckles and hits a devastating Tornado DDT on Orton, to the concrete floor.

Zayn then gets back into the ring and he attempts to hook the championship and win the match, but Craig Chandler stops him, with a Mac-Daddy (Sit Down Spinebuster) off the top of the ladder.

While Craig is down, Daniel Bryan then climbs up the Ladder and he hits a Diving Headbutt onto Craig Chandler. Daniel then shakes off the cobwebs, but Mr. Kennedy hits Daniel Bryan with a Mic Check.

Kennedy then climbs up the Ladder, with the Championship in hand, only to be stopped by CM Punk. Punk then hits a roundhouse kick on Kennedy, causing the brash one to tumble to the outside. Punk then hits a GTS on Kennedy that leans him on the Announce Table. Then, Rob Van Dam, from out of nowhere, cracks Punk in the skull, with the ring bell.

Van Dam then places Punk on top of Kennedy. RVD then gets a Ladder from underneath the ring and he begins to climb it. Van Dam then hits a breathtaking, Five Star Frog Splash, onto both Punk and Kennedy, crashing through the Announce Table in the process.

Meanwhile, in the ring, Craig Chandler grabs the championship and he starts to climb the Ladder. He grabs the hook, but Randy Orton pulls the Ladder from underneath Craig. Craig then drops the title down to the ring. Goldberg then sees Craig hanging above the ring, He gets a Ladder climbs it and he spears Craig from twenty feet high.

Both Craig and Goldberg were unconscious upon impact. The two people that were left in the ring, were Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton. Daniel Bryan grabbed the championship and he looked to continue his reign, but Orton met him at the top and they started to trade blows with each other.

Suddenly, Mercer then pushes the Ladder and it causes both men to crash through the four Tables set up near the entrance way! With no one left in sight to stop him, Mercer then climbs the Ladder and hooks the Championship above the ring, winning his first world championship.

Winner and New World Heavyweight Champion: Sean Mercer.
