Incomplete Sanity

The night was pitch black, the only sound that could reach his ears was the quiet hum the motor made as his car glided across the two street stretch of road. It was way past 2:00am, the red neon numbers glowed from the dashboard.

He knew she would be out at this time, she had to be.

She was absolutely breath taking, her skin so creamy and smooth that would call out to him in the most tortious ways. There were times when he would glance over at her chair in English class and could see her nibbling at her mechanical pencil, completely entranced in her book. He saw the ways her brown honey curls cascaded down her face, kissing her cheeks. He just couldn't get enough of her, he couldn't rid his smile off his face every time he saw her laugh or saw her walking down the school highways just lost in her own world. He couldn't stay quiet any longer, he couldn't hide in the shadows of his timidness and give up the girl of his dreams.

So he followed her instead, of course at first he was just intoxicated with the feeling of knowing where she was but then something snapped into him that couldn't stop the craving of being around her. He started small at first, just watching her from the far distance when she went to the mall with her friends or when she went out to take the trash. He couldn't get enough of her. But slowly everything started to add up, the frequency of his visits to her house at the middle of the night became a recurring routine. He would watch her sleep, her window open, inviting him to come in and taste her. Sometimes he would watch her make love to her boyfriend as if just seeing it he could picture himself in that guys shoes. He would watch with hunger, taking note at every way he would make her moan, wanting to have that for himself. He knew that having her wouldn't be easy, he knew that she probably would take long to truly open up to him but he had to try.

The road seemed to never end, the high beams casting the darkness away. And that's when he saw her. Her blue Mazda, driving carefully down the same street without any other car in sight. He knew he had to do it now, he had to make his move. His foot pressed slightly down on the gas, his speed reaching to 80 miles per hour. He followed closely behind her, the front of his car barely a breath away from her bumper. He started to honk ferociously and drove into the next lane, pulling up next to her.

She glanced over and scrunched her eyes, trying to see him despite the darkness. And once she saw him she started to accelerate, she was trying to get away from him. Something broke inside him, the way her eyes widened at the sight of him. Could she know he was following her? He caught up next to her and before he could think he slammed his car into hers, sending her off the shoulder and into a ditch, the front part of her car completely totaled.

He slammed on his brakes, pulling off the side and running to her aid. He carefully dipped into the ditch and made his way to her car. Once he was there he saw her blood on the window, a head wound that could easily be bandaged. He opened her car door and saw her crying, moaning in pain and fear.

"Shhhhhh, my darling. Everything is okay" he cooed as he reached in and moved a strand of her hair away from the blood pouring on her face. She cried harder, the tears a never ending waterfall, gathering on her smooth bare legs.

"Why are you doing this...why?" she choked out.

Suddenly he flew into a white rage, his hand smacking against her cheek.

"Why am I doing this?! Don't act like you don't know Angela! I see the way you look at me in class, the way you watch me while I talk!" he couldn't help but scream. How could she not see that he was in love with her, was she that oblivious to the fact that she was all he could dream about.

"But...you're my teacher Mr. Evans...you're my English professor." She stated the obvious.

"Well as of now, my darling, I am your only hope of survival" he whispered as he brought the cloth full of chloroform up to her mouth, knocking her out into unconsciousness.
