Hermione POV

Draco was acting funny. He avoided her as much as possible, spoke in hushed tones around her, and only acted the slightest bit romantic, only when they were completely alone. 'DRACO LUCIUS MALFOY! Come here and talk to me right now!' Hermione belted out when she saw him turn a corner with Pansy Parkinson in tow.

'Bye-bye Dra-Dra!' Pansy squealed brushing past Hermione.

'You know she has a boy friend, soon to be fiance, right? I thought Blaise was your best friend! How could you betray him like this!' Hermione gasped, but before Draco could get a word in edgewise she started up again, 'How would you like it if I just ignored you all day, and talked to Dean all day long, hiding in corners, and walking down the hall together, like the whole sorting never happened. I am disappointed in you.'

'No, Hermione, I'm helping Blaise plan his proposal. He wanted to know some things about her, and couldn't have her hanging on him while he's ring shopping, or when he's receiving the letter from her parents giving their approval.' Draco answered. 'I'm sorry I've been so distant, its just that Pansy requires a lot of energy, that is usually spent other ways, loving you. I still love you, its just I've been having a hard time showing it.'

'OMG! I'm so sorry, I didn't know. I feel guilty for yelling at you now!' Hermione grinned.

'Let me kiss it away.' Draco replied kissing her nose.

'OK, ok. I forgive you. But next time you're helping someone, don't forget me. I've got to get to class! Love you, Dra-Dra.' Hermione said feeling less hurt but felt he was hiding something from her.

Draco POV

She had no idea that it was me proposing soon and I was the one needing space to prepare. But he was almost done. Just had to talk to the Headmistress, and Ginny
