I woke up feeling like shit the next morning. The first thing I did was text my best friend, in desperate need of her help. She invited me over instantly and as soon I got dressed and freshened up, I left the house.
As I walked around the corner to the garage, I noticed an all too familiar figure leaning on his motorbike. I ignored him, still fuming at how he treated me and the lies he told me.
"Abbie, hey! I was just about to ring the door bell."
Silence.
"Abbie please don't ignore me."
I did the opposite.
He grabbed my arm, this time lightly, but a bruise was forming from his strong grip last night so the pain of his touch stung anyway.
I snatched it away. "Ow, it still hurts from last night."
I saw his eyes darken. "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you."
I opened the garage door, turning away form him.
"Abbie! I'm sorry. I panicked to see you there! I freaked out! You know what happened last time you had anything to do with those people. I didn't want to put you in that situation again!"
"Then you shouldn't have been there yourself, like you promised!" I snapped.
"Abbie please, can we talk--"
"Go home Caleb." I said sternly, repeating his line from last night.
He sighed. "No I want to--"
"Believe it or not, I don't give a fuck about what you want right now Caleb. You lied, you hurt me, and you treated me like one of your regular hoes last night! I felt like trash when you pushed me away like that! You had no fucking right! You're a monster!" I bit the inside of my cheek to stop myself from saying anything else, as I got in my car and drove right past Caleb and his shocked blank expression.
Was it weird that I felt bad?

"What the hell happened?" She exclaimed as she dragged me inside her house. It was empty, thank god.
"Caleb. Caleb happened." I sighed, taking a seat.
Her eyes popped. "Do you guys kiss?"
"More than that." I confessed.
"You fucked--"
"NO." I defended. "No."
"Then what the hell?"
I bowed my head. "I'm his girlfriend."
"You're his what?" She explained. "What the fuck Abbie? Since when? Why am I only finding this out now?"
"Sit down, stop stressing." I told her.
She did as she was told. "Tell me!"
So I did. I told her how he took me home after the party and how we kissed, how great it was and how I fell asleep with him by my side only to wake up to a cute morning note. I told her that we met up and he asked me to be his girlfriend and that I agreed. The next bit got tricky because I had promised Caleb to never tell anyone about what actually happened when I got attacked, and unlike him, I had kept my promise. The only thing that was really keeping me and had kept me from telling my best friend all this time was the fact that as soon as she knew, she would become a possible victim, a bate, and I couldn't put her at that risk. I had to lie once again.
So I told her that he was acting up and that when I confronted him he had a go at me, completely rejecting me from his private life. It sounded realistic and she believed it.
