The stranger left me entranced;
My heart beat fast, my stomach danced
His beauty was superficial yet abstruse
He shone brightly to hide the blues

I entered my apartment and closed the door behind me. I kept my laptop bag aside and sat on the beige couch with the purse in my hand. I opened it and took out the napkin; I read his poem for 200th time maybe. There is nothing new about it but I felt a different sort of connection with this man. Not love or infatuation, but something deep. I folded the napkin carefully and put it in my drawer. Maybe, I am getting a little cliché daily, due to so much 'love' all around. I decided it to call it a night and collapsed on my bed tiredly to embrace sleep.
My eyes shot awake at 7:30 am that too not by my alarm but the sunlight peeking in from the window. I adjusted my vision and slowly and steadily my house came into focus. My room was a small area with light purple walls and a white bed. The curtains were of darker shade which covered the only window in my room. Beside the window was a small table and chair kept with all the novels stacked up above the table on a shelf. I got up and made my way to my bathroom. I've got about two and a half hours to report to my office out of which 15 minutes the time is taken to reach there.
I freshened up and was all fresh and clean by 8:30. I decided to explore some bookstores nearby and hence closed my apartment doo and exited leaving my beige couches and television alone in the living area.
The bookstore was two blocks down and I entered with a smile on my face because the smell of novels always brought a relief and happiness to me. A sweet pretty lady greeted me with a chirpy voice. "Hello ma'am! How can I help you today?"
"No, it's fine, thank you. I will be comfortable checking out the new collection in the romance section if there is any?"
"Oh yes ma'am! There are plenty you might love. Make yourself comfortable and explore. I'll be right behind the desk there if you need anything" she said pointing towards a small desk where she must be issuing or selling the books.
"Sure. Thank you!"
I begin my exploration of a good novel. Many people started to come and i continued to explore. It was half an hour later when i found a good novel for myself. I was so engrossed in reading the blurb that i collided with someone in front of me. My book fell from my hand and I picked it up apologizing the stranger.
"I am so sorry! I was so captivated by the plot that I teleported to another world." The stranger chuckled at my comment and I looked up to take a quick glance at him and oh god! He was so handsome and tall. Broad shoulders, muscular back and gelled up hair added bonus points to his personality.
I felt a blush spreading on my cheeks and stopped checking him out. I apologized again and was hypnotized by his blue eyes. "It's okay young lady! I'm not hurt or anything. Have a nice day" with that he turned around and left the bookstore but before he left, I noticed the novel he took. Shakespeare. Wow! Perfection!
I left the bookstore after 15 minutes waiting in line and buying the book. It was 9:30 and I had to go to the office.
I decided to work and forget about the embarrassing encounter I just had with the most handsome person. Okay! Maybe I am just going to work and think about him all day today.
