It's the celebration day in my office because we all are hoping a promotion letter today. Why suddenly?... Yesterday our boss got a call from the CEO of the company regarding a very diligent employee getting a promotion for commendable work so far. I hope I am that lucky one to get the promotion but I don't think they'll be so easy on someone who submits one article in two weeks.

I looked around searching for Emma, my best friend. She was on a vacation and might've returned today. Well she believes that mobile phones are devils in disguise and interrupt your peace and hence she didn't take hers on this vacation. I literally had no idea how to contact her.

I searched for her once again but she was nowhere in sight. I sighed and went inside my cabin.

I was writing an article when somebody knocked on my cabin's door. "Come in!"

"Ashhlleyyy!" Emma Shouted on top of her lungs.

"Emma? Oh my god! Where were you this morning? I was looking for you."

"I came 10 minutes ago and had to give an explanation for getting late to the mad eye."

Mad eye is our secret name for our boss.

"Oh lord! I forgive you. You got to encounter with him just after you came from a peaceful vacation. That's so wrong. I pity you."

"Okay drama queen. Stop it now. I've to tell you so many things about my vacation so I came here to tell you that we are going for a lunch at Jerry's shop. Okay?"

"As you say captain. I also have something to tell you now that you were totally out of the world and in a "nomo" world."

"What's nomo?"

"No mobile phone."

"Holy shit! You're getting depressed I think." She said with sarcasm.

"Okay. Okay. We'll go together at 2. Meet me right here."

"Aaye Aaye captain."

With a smile on her face as well as mine we both got back to work.

It was around 12 when there was an announcement to get assembled in the main area of the office as the promotion letter has arrived. I mean which office makes it so formal and secretive but I like that.

I shut down my laptop and went to the main area. I greeted all the colleagues and everybody were so cheery that they greeted me as if I was their best friend. I now stand in the main areas with exciting faces beaming around and excited Emma by my side. I looked up as our boss entered with an envelope in his hand.

"All of you should be proud of themselves for working hard. No matter whether you get the promotion or not, don't stop wanting more." Our boss literally said something logical and worth listening first time. Everybody was smiling and few of them clapped at what he said.

"Okay now. I'm going to open this letter and then the person whose name is on it will throw a party. All right?" Everybody laughed and nodded their head with extreme curiosity.
