Chapter 21: Red Eyes...

Feeling his canines elongate he slowly leaned down towards her neck grazing them on her soft skin. Lily flinched and before she knew what was happening she let out a death curling scream at contact...

"KAYDEN! STOP!" a deep voice screamed and before Lily knew it he was being knocked off of her body.

Her eyes were shut tightly and her hand was on her neck rubbing on instinct. She was too afraid to open her eyes but she could hear the scuffle and the growls around her making her shake in fear.

"Lily...Lily!" she heard a females voice calling out to her shaking her lightly. "Open your eyes Lily...it's alright!" she continued but Lily scooted further into the corner of the sofa. She had to get away.

"Lily, it's alright. He won't hurt you." the female's voice said but Lily didn't want to hear it...the monster that was on top of her, the one with the onyx eyes, the one who looked like a demon almost did hurt her...no one could tell her otherwise.

"Ple-please...stay away from me. Don't touch me. Please don't touch me." Lily whispered still with her eyes shut closed refusing to open them.

"Blake...she's in shock. She's not going to listen." the female's voice said.

"You are going to have to take her upstairs so she can relax." a deep voice says.

"Get off of me NOW BLAKE!" Lily heard a roar in his voice which made her flinch...she knew who the voice belonged too.

Lily snapped her eyes open blinking a few times to adjust her vision. In front of her she saw a woman in her mid twenty's staring at her with concern in her eyes. She stood up and took a step closer to Lily but she stumbled back.

"Please, don't hurt me." Lily whispered.

"We won't hurt you Lily...None of us will." she said looking back at the men on the floor and then back at Lily.

"He will, I know he will! He almost..." Lily said afraid glancing over at Kayden who was being held down by Blake, his Beta.

"I WILL NEVER HURT YOU LILY! YOU ARE MY LIFE...MY MATE! YOU ARE MINE!" Kayden yelled as he set himself free from Blake's hold.

Kayden sprinted to where Lily was standing making her squeal moving backwards as fast as she could but Kayden had her in his grasps once more.

"STOP...DON'T TOUCH ME!" she yelled closing her eyes again and thrashing to get away from the monster.

"I WILL NOT STOP!" he growled and before he could do or say anything else Lily snatched her hand back and slapped him...hard!

The only sound in the room were the gasps that escaped from the two witnesses standing there and the heavy breathing from Lily and Kayden.

Kayden opened his eyes showing golden orbs that flashed for two seconds and now exposed light brown ones...Mr. Russo?

Rand blinked staring at Lily and then looked around the room taking a step back from her. What did Kayden do?

Glancing at Lily he saw the fear in her eyes, felt the quickness of her heartbeat and felt the shaking of her body...he had frightened her without intent.

"Lily...?!" Rand whispered taking a step closer to her reaching out his hand but Lily flinched pressing her body on the wall.

"Please don't touch me." she tells him with tears in her eyes. She wanted to go home and forget what she had seen.
