Miranda's pov
Me and Joe are cuddling on the couch watching Titanic, my favorite movie. "And even though Jack dies, he still loves her." I say. Joe smiles and laces his fingers with mine. He kisses me which leads to us making out. After that, I start drifting off to sleep in Joe's protective loving arms. My stupid phone rings breaking the silence and making me nearly jump out of my skin. Joe laughs and eats a donut while I answer the phone. It's Murr. "Hey, what's up?" I ask, standing up. "Well Joe isn't answering his phone. I figured he was with you." "Of course he's with me." I say, smirking at him. He smirks back and takes my phone. "What do ya want Ferret?" He asks, making me laugh. "You're late for recording." I hear him say. "Oh damn. Can't we reschedule it. I wanna spend the day with my girl. It's her birthday." He says, kissing my forehead. I smile and pat his arm. "It's okay Joe. You can hang with your friends. My brother is coming for my birthday anyway." "Are you sure sweety? I don't mind staying." "It's okay." I say, putting a hand on his cheek and kissing him.

Jason drives up in his big truck. A country boy like him in New York just makes me laugh. "Where's your boyfriend?" He asks, pulling his guitar out of the truck. I lean against the doorframe. "Filming with the other jokers." He raises a brow. "Hey what's with that look?" "Well if it was my girl's birthday, I'd be spending it with her." He says. I sigh. "We spent the whole day together. It was me who convinced him to go to work." I say. He rolls his eyes. We go back inside and watch TV together. After the movie goes off, he practices a new song. "I've got a surprise." He says, setting it down. "What's that?" I ask, turning the TV off. He's about to say it when Joe and the other guys get home. "As you were saying." I coax. He looks around as the guys goof off. "In private." He whispers. I stand up and go to the kitchen with him. I put my hands in my pockets. "So what's up?"
Joe's pov
"Who is that guy?" Sal asks. "Yeah and why is he alone with your girlfriend?" Murr asks. I laugh. "Relax guys. He's her brother." We hear a scream from the kitchen. I run in there. He's got a ring in his hand. "What's going on?" I ask. "Jason's gonna propose to his girlfriend!" She gasps. "Oh wow! That's great man!" I gasp, walking over. He nods. "When are you going to do it?" Q asks, grabbing a beer. He tosses one to Jason and one to Sal. "Tomorrow night at the show. I've got tickets if y'all wanna come." He says, opening it. "Oh yeah we'll so be there." Miranda says, hugging him. "My brother getting married. I never thought I'd live to see the day." She teases. He rolls his eyes. "You're next princess." He mutters, pointing. My face gets red when he shoots me a look. I hide my face.
*later*
I sit on the step, deep in thought. Jason walks out and puts his guitar in his truck. "What are you doing sitting here all alone?" He asks. "Just thinkin'." I mutter, glaring at the ground.
Jason's pov
What's got him down? "If this is about you marrying my sister, I never expected you to. This is just some summer fling. I want her to marry a country boy who will treat her right." He stands up. "I do treat her right and I do love her! This isn't a summer fling!" "Whatever man. I don't care. I don't like city boys, never have, never will." "I'll show you. Hey babe, come on out here for a sec." What's he planning? I stare at him worriedly. He better not! "Baby I love you so much. Will you marry me?" My eyes go wide. No! She can't marry him! "Oh my gosh Joe! Yes!" She cries, hugging him. "No!" I gasp, backing up. "Ha! So it looks like you're next big brother." She says, looking at the ring on her finger. She can't marry him! "I love you Joe Gatto!" She cries. "And I love you Miranda Aldean!" He gasps, hugging her.
*the next day*
I can't believe she's getting married to that prankster. She's supposed to marry a nice hard working country boy. "Hey Jason, what about this one?" She asks, coming out of the dressing room. I sigh. "You look great in anything." "You sound upset about something. What's wrong?" "It's just my little sis is growing up." I lie. The real reason is because this guy is not right for my sister. Then I get a text from the Yankee.
Joe: I told you I love her. I'm not lying.
Jason: I don't want you marrying my sister!
Joe: get over it redneck.
That jerk makes my blood boil. I have to figure out something to break those two up. I have to stop this wedding.
