Miranda's pov

We were laying on the couch, my head in Joe's lap. "Who do you think will win?" I ask. He shrugs. "I'm not too into football." "I don't pay much attention unless it's Georgia." I reply, twirling my hair around. The door opens and Q walks in looking pissed off. "What's wrong?" Joe asks. "Mallory my fiancé left me for a damn cop." He growls, his hands so tight on the chair he's sitting in, his knuckles turn white. Joe sighs. "Hey sweetheart, I think I'm gonna take Q out." I nod and sit up, kissing Joe's cheek. "Ok love you hot stuff." He smiles. "Love you too." They leave and I fun on Indiana Jones.

Joe's pov

I round up the rest of the guys. "What should we do?" Murr asks thinking. I look at his shirt. "Ok you're tired of us calling you a ferret.... But you are wearing it as a fashion statement now?" He grins that I'm an idiot grin. "Well y'all are never gonna stop so I've embraced my inner ferret." "Just waiting for him to embrace his inner shut the fuck up." Q grumbles. I sigh. "Come on Q how about we hit the bar in town. That always cheers you up." "Whatever, Mr. I don't drink cause I can't handle it." I roll my eyes. "I can handle it. I just don't like to." "Whatever." We walk down to the bar. I'm shocked to see my wife's brother, drunk off his ass. "What's he doing here?" Sal gasps. "Isn't he supposed to be getting ready for the wedding?" Murr asks. I sit down beside him. "Dude what's wrong?" He looks up from his shot glass. "Who-" "It's Joe, your sister's husband." "Go away. Leave me alone." "What happened man?" "She changed her stupid mind. She doesn't wanna marry me!" He gripes. Damn. Two guys left at the altar. That sucks. I call Miranda as Jason stands up. "Where are you going?" "The shootin' range. Get some pissed off outta my system." "No way man, you can't drive let alone shoot a gun as drunk as you are." "Get off a me, you ain't my father!" He snaps yanking free. It goes straight to voicemail. I sigh and pocket my phone. "Jason, I know you're mad but getting yourself killed isn't gonna help." He whips out a pistol. "Back.... The fuck... Off." I jump back shocked. Q's eyes get huge. He grabs his arms, pinning them behind his back. "Lemme go before I kick all a y'alls ugly Yankee asses!" He growls.

Miranda's pov

Joe walks in, looking tired. "How's Q?" I ask, pausing the movie. He sighs and I stand up. I hug him worried and confused. "Go outside. You're gonna wanna see this." I walk outside and my brother is passed out in the driveway. What the heck?! "Jason?" I gape, poking him. "Next person to touch me is gonna get a fist in the face." He grumbles, eyes closed. He's drunk. Man am I lucky! I'm married to a guy who doesn't even like beer! So I don't have to worry about this with him. "Jason wake up, it's me, Miranda." He grabs my shirt. "What'd I say?" He growls. "Ok that's enough!" Joe shouts angrily. I pull free. "What the hell happened to him?! He's never acted this way." I gasp, fixing my now crooked glasses. He sighs. "Brittany changed her mind about getting married and left him. Just like with Q." He says nodding his head to his friend. "Damn." I whisper. We just leave Jason in the driveway til he sobers up. Joe and I start dinner. We're making pork chops, mashed potatoes and gravy, and corn on the cob along with salad. The guys are staying over for dinner. Murr walks in. "Ooh it smells good in here." He says. I nod. "Hey Murr could you-" I was about to ask him to grab me the special napkins but Joe did it for me. I smile at him and steal a kiss. Murr sets the table while we finish cooking. Jason hungover now stumbles inside. "How in the hell did I get here?" I sigh and walk out there. "You got wasted at the bar and Joe helped you here." He holds a hand to his pounding head. "Oh man, that's the last time I take fireball and Jack Daniels shots in the same shot glass!" He says then groans painfully. "I'll get you some headache meds." He nods in thanks. I go back to the kitchen and get what I need. "You okay? Other than the nightmare hangover?" He sighs. "Yeah just pretty pissed off." I hug him. "We're doing pork chops if ya wanna stay for dinner." He shakes his head. "I've been up in the north way too long. I need to get back to the country where I feel at home." He shakily stands up, wobbly. "Not until you can drive Jay." He sighs and sits back down. "I can't even walk let alone drive." I walk back in the kitchen. "Don't let Jason get these." I say tossing Sal the keys to Jason's ford. As soon as I get the chance I'm going to Georgia and giving that bitch a piece of my mind.
