Hey guys, important A.N at the bottom :D

Remember, guys....Votes please? ;)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Vendor started stuttering as soon as his notices the knife in Leona’s hand. Casually, Leona holds the knife twirling it between her hands, walking close to the Vendor. The Vendor loses it when Leona gets within striking distance. A small smile creeps on my face, but I stop as soon as I notice it. I know Leona won’t actually do anything, but he doesn’t know that. I think she just wants to take the piss or at least mug him. Either way, so long at that bastard gets a big of a fright as we got, I’m happy with whatever. I think it’d be nice to show such a jerk as this vendor that you really, really, shouldn’t pick on a couple of girls. Y’know...Sort of like robbing the rich to feed the poor.
And I’m very, very poor.
All sorts of evil and malicious thoughts swirl through my head as I gaze at the vending bastard in front of me. Maybe he doesn’t have to have two functioning arms...maybe he only needs one unbroken arm....maybe he can survive with just one leg? I think he’d be ok with just one leg....
I’m jolted out of my semi-evil (ok, very evil) thoughts by Leona grabbing my arm; “Felixia? You ok there? It wasn’t that much of a worry taking him out”
My voice comes out a little rusty then what it normally does – it’s low and hoarse “I’m sorry Leo. I was just thinking of the reasons why I shouldn’t tear this guy a new one. I’m sure he’s probably in need of a new one,” A bemused look from Leona’s face makes me force myself to calm the smile that’s about to creep upon my face
“Yeah, what?”
“Well, I’ll talk to you when you stop fantasizing about breaking this Jerk’s legs. I’ve been trying to talk to you for the past five minutes. You’ve got that creepy look on your face. You look way to happy”
I chuckle “Sorry. Just reasoning with myself as to why I shouldn’t make him legless. And I’m not talking about getting him drunk. But go on; I’m listening now. Please continue”
“Well I was thinking that we should just-”
We’re both caught off guard when the alleyway is flooded with bright light. I swear I jumped a mie high. I’m only half aware that I’m hissing until I notice that Leona’s hissing as well.
The source of the light is the two headlights from a Protector’s car.
Immediately my brain goes into overdrive, assessing all of the details in front of me. I look from the Vendor to the knife in Leona’s hand to Leona’s face. Her face reflects the rising panic I can feel. A quick glance at the Protector’s car and I can just see the doors begin to open against the bright headlights.
I swipe the knife out of Leona’s hand, using it to, swiftly cutting the bindings we laced around the Vendor’s hands. I grab the top of his arm, yanking him up, putting the short blade into his hand as he stands. I glimpse quickly at the Protectors and can see them beginning to shut the car doors.
“Felix, you got everything?” Leona throwing her spare hunting knife behind the food cart after she nimbly draws the blade across the left side of her face and down her left arm.
Just as I finish with the Vendor, Leona grabs my shoulder to turn me around. A sharp slap greets me across the face. I faintly register the dull pain of her nails. Leona looks me into the eyes. “Ready?” I nod. Tears spill out of my eyes, mirroring Leona’s own. I let Leona push to the side and watch her legs crumble as I fall. I let myself be winded by the impact. I choose to feel this pain.
An Authoritative voice booms out from the brightness “What’s going on here?”
“Help me! Please! My friend! Is she ok?! We’re hurt! Please! Help! Help us!” Leona’s voice sounds far away – I’ve never been winded before, but I feel like I’m dying. When did breathing get so difficult? I feel almost faint.
“We’ll be right there Miss!”
The two Protectors rush over to the Vendor, knocking the knife out of his hand and punching him square in the jaw. The Vendor seems to crumple in on himself, his legs being knocked out from underneath him – again.  It took a maximum of two minutes for the Protectors to subdue the vendor.  I’m impressed. It’s like the Academy actually got around to training these guys.
A young Protector appears in front of me, looking down at me with concern.
“Hi there, I’m Protector Michaels. I’m here to help. Can you tell me where you’re hurt?”
Despite trying to reply, I realise I just can’t. My windpipe feels crushed. My lungs are on fire! Why can’t I breathe? Protector Michaels must see the agony in my eyes. He must. If I were anymore obvious about it, I’d have it Branded across my forehead.
The Older Protector walks over to us, with Leona right next to him, clutching the shallow cut she made not two minutes ago, “She ok? What happened?”
Protector Michaels puts his arms around me and helps to lift me up onto my feet. It doesn’t work. Protector Michaels swoops down to try and catch me, but his reflexes are simply too slow. By the time he actually goes to catch me I’m on the ground looking at Leona’s Academy approved shoes. That hurt.
The Older Protector simply sighs; “I suppose we have to take them to hospital. Their injuries look pretty bad and if that one can’t even stand on her feet, she needs to go anyway. Ladies, if you’ll just step into our car, we’ll have you to a hospital in no time”
The two men guide us towards the car and help us inside; Protector Michaels gives us a friendly smile as he puts on his belt and starts the car. “Don’t worry now, you’re in safe hands” By the time he’s finished talking, I’m starting to feel ok. My breathing becomes easy and my chest feels ok.
Leona pokes my shoulder. She’s covered in bright crimson blood from the shallow cuts she gave herself. “You never know Felixia. Hospital might be a good thing. We can get your scar checked.”
I can’t help but feel extremely sarcastic “Yeah Leona. Let’s go to a place where they check your blood purity. Where blood tests are a common thing. Sounds like fun alright”
“I didn’t think of that. My bad”
I roll my eyes and look away.
