Ashley's story

Birthday girl

    

                  

       January 4th Ashly turned 16 and her father died she never celebrated her birthday since. Ashly's phone starts to go crazy and  everyone one said happy birthday  hope your birthday is unforgettable d able  one of the Doctors came in and said "your father wanted to give you this " it was a silver charm bracelet that had a rose, bear, angel wing's, a bat ,and a heart that said "my sweet girl".

In the box there was a note that said "I will always love you and watch over you happy birthday love daddy" as Ashly was driving home through a thunder storm stared before she know it Ashly was at her old child hood home dripping wet she walked up to the door knocked and the light's came on and a woman answered. "Hello?" "Hi "Ashly was shivering looking at the house that held so many memories," um can I help you with something?" "No um I just... never mind" "ok ".

     Ashly gets into her car and leaves and she thinks back to when she was five her dad gave her her first bat the time she made her first home run the day the team lost and he got her ice cream and said "you did good" how she would look out from her tree house at 4:00 pm watching for her dad to come home and she would say "batter up" and how her dad would say with a smile "swing and the crowd goes crazy haaaa."

            How on her tenth birthday when he gave her her locket. "Beep!" the car behind her and the car behind the car behind her Ashly drove back home went upstairs past her brothers room then she stepped backed walked into his room looked around then she shut the door Ashly has lost her father,            her brother who is still in the coma and now is worried that her mother may be next and she remembers what her grandma had said "death comes in three's "dear god I know you have a plan for us all and you put obstacles in our way and that you test our faith in you but ... I don't understand what you want me to do or see why do you want my dad ,mom, and brother ?        Can you please help me understand ..."Ring  ring" Ashly gets up and looks at the phone it was her grandmother "hello?" "Grandma?"

            "Ashly I know you are grieving for the loss and your scared for you mother and your brother but it will be alright open the locket" "but grandma it does not open ""try it sweet heart" Ashly opens the locket it's a picture of her, her mom, her dad, and her brother j and it say's family are not left behind or forgotten. "Grandma how did you know?" "I got a sign."

          The next day Ashly goes back to the hospital to see her brother and to see her mother her and her mother talked about how they are and how life was she told her mother about the crash and about j.  A nurse came in and said "she need's her medicine so you can't stay long she will fall asleep soon ok?"  After 5 minutes her mother fell asleep.

         6 weeks since her father's funeral and Ashly goes back to school as Ashly was walking to her 1st period class she was waiting for a call from the hospital.          A new kid was coming out of the dean's office when Ashly ran into him. "oh I am so sorry I should really watch were I am going " no it's my fault " how is it your fault you're not the one who is on her phone"  " but I really should have seen you coming so it's my fault"  "Hi I'm D.J " "so D.J why haven't I seen you around ?"  D.J run's his fingers through his dirty blond hair  Ashly look's into his light blue eyes and D.J smiles a sexy smile  "I'm Ashly " they both stood there like they were in their own little world .      "Ring ring!!" Ashly's phone goes off and slowly both of them come back to reality.

         Ashly looks at her phone and see's that it's the hospital then looks at D.j and say's "I have to go but... I hope I see you again"  "hello?" one of the nurses are on the phone "yes Miss Ashly can you please come to the hospital?"

         Ashly goes to the office and tells them that she has to leave but they don't let her leave. Soon they let her leave to get to the hospital. When Ashly gets off the elevator she goes to the front desk and a nurse tells her that they they took her mom to surgery and were able to get the cancer out, but she said that it could grow back even worse.

           As Ashly was walking to her mother's room she saw D.J tasseled hair carrying wild orchids  and before she know it he was standing right in front of her "hey Ashly what are you doing here?" "Oh my mom and my older brother j are in the hospital" "oh I am so sorry ""yea "Ashly ask's "what are you doing here?"

"Oh "D.J brushes his fingers through his dirty brown hair which does not really help " um I was just dropping this off  for some I know" "listen ashy I have to go" Ashly goes and sees her mother and tells her all about it.
