For once, Luke was up early for his casting - he's usualy short on time. Maybe it's because his mother woke him up before work and made him breakfast. After a quick shower and changing into proper clothes - showing up in boxers is not apropriate - he was ready to leave for his apointment.
Not without his daily black coffee!
''Hey, Luke,'' greeted Ashton as he saw the blonde passing the café's door. He had an hour to kill, why not grabbin a coffee? The latter smiled at him, walking in his direction.
''Morning, Ashton. I'm gonna take-''
''Let me guess, black coffee?''
An amused smile crept on Luke's lips as he nodded at the curly haired cashier. His hair were up in a bun today and Luke thought he looked very cute with his hair like this. It showed off his hazel eyes and dimpled smile perfectly.
''Do you ever have days off? You were there last night too,'' Luke questioned, curious. Isn't there rule of a time limit for someone to work? Luke was sure there was but said nothing about it. It was unnessary.
''I replaced one of my friend last ngith. I wasn't suposed to to the night shift. With school and all, I should use my nights to sleep.''
''Oh, I see. Sometimes I wish my friend swere this nice. Work is hard sometimes...''
''Where do you work at?'' Ashton grabbed a pen and wrote Luke's name on the cup. Or what Luke assumed was his name.
''I don't have an actual work place but I'm working on that,'' the blonde chuckled, scratching the back of his neck.
''You're waiting for a call? I know how it feels. It's so hard to find a good work-place that will pay the bills and support you. Starbucks was not my first choice but it was this or Maccas. I knew I'd have to do night shifts at Maccas so it was a no.'' Ashton filled the cup with the black, pur liquid, adding and adjusting the lid on top. ''Where did you applied?''
Luke took the handed, now full, cup and paid Ashton with a handful of coins currency. ''A couple agencies here and there, I want to be a model,'' he proudly stated. Luke is proud of his career choice. Most people sees modeling as a last option job and laughs or give him side glances when Luke tells them about it but not Ashton. He smiled.
''Really? It's funny because I'm studying in photography. It's my last year in the advenced class. I'm not bragging, I chose this option, I wanted more knowledge.''
''What school do you go to? The art college?''
Ashton nodded. ''Yeah, how did you know?''
''One of my friend goes there. Well, we've only met a couple times but she's very nice.''
''Potential girlfriend?''
Shaking his head, Luke snickered. ''Not at all. We swing the same way though.''
Ashton raised an eyebrow. ''Oh! Sorry, I just thought-''
''Don't apologize for stupid stuff like this. Girls try to flirt with me all the time - I'm not bragging, I swear - and their eyes jump out of their sockets when I tell them I'm gay.''
''Girls can be really annoying. They think everyone is straight if they're not flamboyant. Our sexual orientation is not written on our forehead...''
''It would be practical and lowerise the awkward moments.''
''And agravate some people's life situations. Not everyone is acceptive. There's two sides of the medal, Luke.''
The was Ashton spoke was enough to let Luke know Ashton's family wasn't acceptive of him being gay. They just met so it would be intrusive to ask questions about something personal.
