Luke just came back from his photoshoot with Marc when he reached for his laptop and sat on his bed, smiling stupidly at the black screen. He got the notification on his phone that his lover sent him an email while he was at work and is excited to see what he's written.

He and Ashton agreed on sending emails because texting can be expensive when you go accross the globe. That and because they're in a diferent timezone and they knows they won't be able to respond imediatly. You can write more in emails anyway.

Liz was working late tonight which means Luke will be alone at the apartement all night. It kinda sucks but he's tired and just wanna shower and sleep. It's gonna be a quiet evening for him.

The device was taking longer than usual - or so it seemed - turning on and Luke groaned, impatient. He could always read it off his phone but it's not the same. Emails should be read on computer screens, not ipads or phones.

Suddenly, the screen came to life. The blonde boy mentaly cheered and clicked on the mail icon, searchign trough his list of unread emails. He saw Ashton's name and quickly clicked on it.

Dear Lukey (yes, I just called you that, I know you hate it, ha!),

I went to Central Park today. It was beautiful. Lots of green. And pleasing to capture on screen. Though the place was pretty, I was sad the prettiest thing on earth wasn't with me to explore its beauty. I wish to take you there sometime. New York is amazing. There's inspiration everywhere and that's what I love about the city. I made a goal of trying as much restaurents/cafés as possible during my stay here and I even took some pictures of my favorites to show you when I'll come back to Melbourne.

I thought sharing a dorm with Chris was dificult (he is so messy and snores super loud) but having five roommates is far worse... I'm not a maid, dammit! People needs to learn how to use a stove or do laundry. Or even just cleaning up after themself. I was lucky to get a single room and hte one with the balcony. I can see the NYC skyline from my window as I enjoy my morning coffee. It's perfect.

I went to my internship two times and I'm already in love. I was lucky to get this internship because they rarely gives any at this place. Woo for me! I have a shooting tomorrow with a well known model and I'm so stoked. I'm not gonna be the one taking the pictures but I'll help the main photographer and try to take tips and tricks from him.

I went shopping with the girls yesterday. I may or may not have gotten a few things for you... And before you say that you don't want me to get you anything, shush! I was told to cherish the things you love and I love you so let me fucking spoil you, okay!? I can't wait to give them all to you, I'm litterally giggling in front of my laptop right now, how embarassing...

I love you lots, Ashton xx

Luke smiled as he read every words. From what he read, Ashton is having a good time in America. His smile fell when he realised that he wishes he could be there too. Maybe he would consider it if he didn't have a possible contract with Marc and Ruth - it's already signed and official with the latter. Money is a big dilema in this too. Luke isn't poor, his mum gets a decent amount for working at the hospital but he's not rich. He can't afford a trip to New York without planning in advence.

Debating whether or not typing a reply, Luke shut off his laptop and headed for a shower. He signed up in a gym - it's requested when modeling - and he's going tomorrow morning. It's expensive but it'll be worth it in the end. He doesn't have a personal trainer yet but he's hoping to get one shortly. He'll ask for it tomorrow.

Washed and feeling clean, Luke stepped out of the shower. It's not super modern but it does the job. They used to have a bath and it's not bracticle when you're in a rush. That's why Liz changed it for a shower. Skipping shaving, he towel-dried his blonde hair, ruffling them roughly.
