Family. - A Niall Horan Imagine Part 3

You turned around, seeing a woman with eyes just like your boyfriend, and she said “Hi, Y/N How are you?” As she said that, she looked at your daughter who was fast asleep on your shoulder, and started getting teary “Hi Maura, It’s so nice to meet you, and you look gorgeous” you whispered , trying not to get your baby up.

“Can I hold her” she asked. “Yeah yeah go ahead, no problem” you said.

Niall was signing some autographs when you called out to him “Hi Mum” Niall said, “Hi Ni, Baby you look so nice, I love what you’ve done to your hair, this looks nice” She replied ruffling Nialls hair.

Then you looked over at Nialls dad, who just stood there, shocked to see his grad kids “Hello Bobby, Thanks for coming here” “No problem Y/n” You and your father-in-law shared a very nice relationship, just like that of a daughter and father

“Hi buddy” bobby said to Niall “Hi Dad!” Niall said, and he went over to hug him. “I’m so proud of you, making all the right decisions” Bobby said patting his back. He was a little scared to hold his grandkids yet, but Maura had got the hang of it

 “Come on lets go home” Maura said. You all started walking towards the car, with Niall’s hand on your waist and the other hand holding your daughter who was now up, and looking around.

Suddenly Niall whispered “I’m so happy my step father is not here” You looked at him with a confused expression, but thought of talking about it later “Y/N and Niall I’ll be catching up with you guys later” Bobby said “But dad” Niall whined “I have some work to get over with” He replied. You smiled and said “You better be back ASAP” “I’ll be back in a jiffy” he replied, gently kissing the foreheads of yours and Nialls children.

Niall put the backs in the trunk, you reached Niall’s mothers house, it was such a beautiful house. As you drove in the drive way, you saw a man standing at the front door, as Niall saw at who you were looking at he held on to your hand, you could feel that your boyfriend was nervous? You got out of the car and looked at that man, and he was Niall’s stepfather.

“Hi Niall” He said excitedly  “Hi” Niall replied coldly without even looking up, so you had to quickly save the situation “Hi, I’m Y/N Nialls girlfriend, it’s so nice to meet you finally, we really missed you at the wedding” you said going over to him “Hi Y/n, I’m so sorry I couldn’t make it, I had some family issues” He said hugging you “Well you’re the reason for issues in my family” Niall said.

You knew that something was wrong, like really wrong, “Niall stop it” Maura said “Oh mum” Niall replied and walked off with your daughter and a bag. “I’ll help you with that Maura” You said trying to change the topic.

You went in Nialls room, where Niall was lying on the bed with exhaustion,with one of his arms around his daughter's waist protectively. You went up to him rubbing his back and said “Baby, what was that about”

Niall didn’t reply and shut his eyes “He’s so sweet, stop doing all of this, we’ve come to meet them, it’s a holiday  don’t ruin it” you said. “Don’t ruin it?? Forget it Y/N I don’t want to get into an argument right now” Niall whisper shouted.

“You’re not going to do this” you said walking out of the door. You went to the kitchen to Maura and saw her sobbing “I’m so sorry Maura” you apologised. “I don’t know what to do Y/N it’s been years and Niall still isn’t comfortable with him” she said

“Where’s my adorable grandkid” bobby said coming in,and Maura quickyl wiped her tears away. You started smiling and pointed to Nialls bedroom.He played with your daughters for hours. 

It was now time for dinner and Niall had stayed in his room for the whole day, whilst you chatted with Maura.

Niall was changing your daughters diaper when you walked in “Come down for dinner at least, she’s made your favourites” you said. Niall didn’t even bother to look up.”Nialler come on” you pleaded, giving way to your ego.

“No Y/N I can’t see her with another man like that, I hate him” Niall confessed “Oh come on! Hate’s too strong a word, he’s family babe, and your mum loves him” you said “Family my foot” Niall said, raising his voice a little “Niall calm down, just hear me out” you said holding his hand and making him sit on the bed beside you.

“See Niall we’ve come here for you mum and she wanted to meet us, and Babe you know he loves you, and he is Family, and that’s everything lets not ruin our stay” Niall just sat there listening to you and then got up and left the room.

You thought he would go and really shout it out so you went behind him. You went to the kitchen and saw Niall hugging his mum, both of them teary, you smiled standing there, and his mum mouthed towards you saying “Thank you” you went over and rubbed Nialls back, and he hugged you back and said “Thanks so much babe I love you”

As this moment was going on, you daughter started crying as loud as she could and then Maura said “ I still can’t believe that you’re a father”
