Chapter 17.

Xavier's prov.

What the hell happened out there. I couldn't get the images of heartless and headless bodies out of my head. Aria had no emotion in her eyes or voice when she was picking the bodies up. I can't even look at her, it's like she didn't care about anything. It's like she killed without hesitation.

As we neared the house, I saw Kelly running towards the woods with clothes in her arms. I wonder where she's going.

"Return to what you were doing before hand, get cleaned up first though." I say answered by a chorus of 'yes Alphas'. I turn back the pack house and walk up to Aria's room to see how Chris and Hanna are doing. I knock on the door and after hearing a come in I peer my head around the door to see Chris hasn't moved from his spot on the bed, and Hanna is still sleeping.

"How is she doing mate?" I ask.

"Oh it's just you, she's fine still asleep." He says with aggravation in his voice.

"Sorry, I bet you have heard that a lot."

"No it's not that. You know it's funny, you can't even look at Aria yet your here in her room looking and talking to me." He says, he's right though, I can't even look at Aria yet here I am talking to Chris. What's wrong with me?

"Your right Chris, it's just, she didn't have any emotions when she was talking about what happened."

"That Aria for you pal. She was protecting what's hers. She already looks at Hanna as family due to me. Imagine it was you in that position, hearing those monsters calling your little sister all those names, telling you what they did to her every night. Wouldn't you go a bit crazy?"

"Yeah I guess your right. I'll go find her now."

"Give her time Xavier. She needs to clear her head. No doubt she will be back soon." He said, before I could reply Hanna woken up and looked between us.

"W..w..where's Aria?" She asked her voice shaking.

"It's okay Hanna. I'll link her now." Chris said.

"I'll link the doctor. She asked to be notified when she woke." With a nod from Chris I left the room and walked over to mine, before closing the door I saw Aria run into her room clean of all blood and in new clothes.

Aria's prov.

Once I left the group I walked to my safe place, blocking everyone but Chris out. I quickly stripped out of my blood stained clothes and dived into the lake to wash all traces of those monsters off of me. A few moments later Kelly turned up with clean clothes and a towel for me.

"Here you go nerd. You look better when your not covered in blood." She laughs.

"Yeah. It's not the best look." I say, no emotions in my voice.

"Hey princess, Hanna just woke up and she's asking for you." Chris' voice came through mind-link.

"On my way." I reply, I get out of the lake and hurry to get dried and dressed.

"What's happening Aria?" Kelly asked, a worried tone in her voice.

"Hanna is asking for me, gotta run, leave the dirty clothes I'll burn them later." I say just before running back to the pack house to see how Hanna is doing.

"I'm back." I day walking through my bedroom door. Hanna looks at me and I see a slight smile on her face.

"Xavier just went to get cleaned up, he's also linking the doctor." Chris says as I walk towards the bed.

"Okay. Hi Hanna how are you feeling?"

"Much better. Thank you"

"Your welcome sweetheart. What do you say to a bath?" I ask while Chris goes to top the bath up with hot water.
