Chapter 12~ Ice Breaker

                  

Barry ran Viper to Star Labs. Her leg still frozen over thanks to Snart. They entered the Cortex. Everyone stared at the two, this was the first time any of them had seen Viper in the flesh, well except for Cisco who spied on them via Flash cam.

Barry placed Viper on the hospital bed, then Caitlin came to examine the ice. Caitlin reached for Vipers mask, but her hand was swatted away by Viper.

"My identity is my secret." Viper hissed, rolling on her side facing away from the others.

"How was Snart able to stop my sped with the cold gun?" Barry asked to group sitting on the edge of Vipers bed.

Cisco turned away to walk out of the Cortex hoping nobody would notice him.

"Cisco do you want to explain?" Caitlin asked. He turned around to face the group, his head hung in guilt.

"Because I made the cold gun. To stop you." He said to Barry. Barry's eyes widened and his jaw stuttered, lost for words.

"I didn't know who you were Barry. For all we knew you could've turned out bad."

"But I didn't." And with that, Caitlin, Cisco and Dr Wells left the Cortex leaving Viper and Barry.

Barry sat down on the chair next to her bed, his head held in his hands sighing. Kyra put her hand into his, reassuring him that it was okay. Retracting her hand Kyra nuzzled her head deeper into the pillow and gave out a sad moan.

"What's wrong?" Barry asked, clearly noticing that something was up.

"Snart knew who I was." She admitted.

"Barry I can't help you fight him, my identity is too important." Barry nodded in agreement. He was angry at Cisco for making the gun, but knew it wasn't his fault that Snart stole it. He needed Viper to help him, but he didn't want her identity known.

Everyone re-joined in the Cortex.

"We need to find a way to stop Snart." Barry exclaimed. Caitlin was trying to melt the ice of Viper's leg.

"I found a way to track the cold gun, by using the cities network and sending a false update, being able to get a ping back, it should take half an hour." Cisco said.

"I can do it in less than one." Felicity stated, walking into the Cortex. Her eyes immediately fell on Viper.

"Who is that?" She asked pointing at Viper.

"Viper." Barry said in a rush, trying to draw attention away from Kyra and let Caitlin get the ice off.

Felicity cracked her knuckles in an effort to look badass. "Ahh that was not as badass as I pictured it" she said, focusing back on the computer.

She tracked the gun down to the Central City train station. The ice was removed from Viper's leg, they all turned to face Felicity.

"I don't need back up for this one." Barry stated angrily. Everyone turned back to face Viper, but she was gone.

"Wow she is so much like the Arrow." Felicity said.

Barry quickly suited up, though he shut down his communications, stating he didn't feel like talking.

At the train station, where they tracked Snart, the police got Intel about a mad man at the train station, Joe ordered Eddie to stay and wait for backup.

Back at Star Labs, Cisco had created a prototype cold gun (the vacuum) and Felicity told them to go and help Barry despite what he said as she had such experiences with Oliver before.
