It's fair to say that everyone has loses. It's fair to say that some people dwell on those loses. But others fight through those loses and come out on top.

The past few days have ended in loses. Barry, trying to be a hero, went after Tony angry. And he got beat up pretty bad. Iris had been kidnapped and Barry was losing perspective on the situation.

"You want Barry to hit something at 800 miles an hour? That's faster than the speed of sound." Caitlin said.

"I know." Cisco replied

"He would create a sonic boom, which, as I've said before, would be awesome." Cisco added.

"It would be totally awesome" Kyra added.

"I've never gone that fast." Barry's voice was filled with caution.

"Yet." Dr Wells cut in.

"I can't believe we're actually entertaining this idea." Caitlin threw her arms above her head and went to sit next to Kyra.

"I mean, he'd need a straight shot from Miles away" She responded

"Yeah, 5.3 Miles" Cisco calculated

"Theoretically." Kyra finished

"Do it right, you'll take him down." Kyra said excitedly

"Do it wrong, you'll shatter every bone in your body." Caitlin said as she shot Kyra a bit of a glare.

Barry got up to head back to CCPD. Kyra hopped up and jogged after him. He looked up to see her walking beside him.

"Why are you walking with me?" he asked blushingly

"I uh- need to pay a few minor speeding tickets." She said awkwardly. Barry looked at her and laughed a bit.

"Don't laugh at me. It's not my fault everyone drives to slow!" She defended while laughing and nudging him in the arm.

"Or maybe you drive too fast." He challenged. She scoffed and raised her eyebrows.

"I believe in you." She said to him. Barry stopped in his tracks and turned to face her.

"You do?"

"Yeah. I haven't been here that long, but from what I learnt about you, is that you care for your loved ones and that you never give up." She said blushing slightly.

What Barry did next took her by shock. He hugged her. She was tense at first but she soon melted into his warm embrace.

"Um- yeah we should go." Barry coughed nervously.

"Oh yeah. Driving or running?"

"Let's drive, I want to see how you got so many speeding fines." He mocked. Kyra smiled and laughed as they both entered her silver Porsche.

The two arrived at CCPD to find Joe and Eddie talking.

"I'll see you in a bit; I have to argue my point to the Captain about the speed limits." She said as she let her hand linger on his upper arm as she walked off.

Joe raised his eyebrows at Barry, but he was too focused watching Kyra strutting over towards the Captains office. Joe cleared his throat in an attempt to break Barry's gaze.

"Uh- um, sorry I was thinking about something." He said

"Like how you should grow up and ask her out?" Joe subtly hinted.

"Something like that." He sighed.

"Come on Allen, I need something to hit." Eddie said as he dragged Barry along up the stairs to the Lab. Barry gave Joe a pleading look of confusion and worry.

"I don't think he meant you"

After a while of punching 101 feat Eddie, Barry and Kyra were gathered in the Cortex.

"We tracked Iris to the elementary school." Cisco said, swinging around in his desk chair.

"I'm on it." Barry said as he sped into his suit.

"You coming?" He asked Kyra.

"No, this is personal for you. But remember what I taught you, have a clear mind."

He nodded and sped out of the building.

"Too slow, tin man." Tony said as the team listened in over intercom

"He's hurt." Caitlin explained as she nervously observed his vitals on the computer screen

"If you do come up against somebody you know you can't beat, be smart." Dr Wells instructed.

"It's okay to run the other way." Kyra soothed, she was trying to calm him down, his emotions taking over his actions.

"Why did he stop? He's miles away.

"He's gonna do it! Go, man, go!" Cisco shouted, slowly rising from his chair.

"Supersonic punch, baby! Whoo!" Both Kyra and Cisco jumped in excitement. Cisco looked at Kyra with a look on his face.

"What?" She asked

"You are a lot cooler than expected." He admitted. She scrunched her eyebrows in confusion but nodded.

"I'm going to head home." She said as she hugged Caitlin and waved to Cisco and Dr Wells.

Kyra sat on her plush grey sofa, curled up in one of her many fur throws wearing long silk pants and a small tank top plus her beloved cat socks. She quietly flipped through her magazine, she heard a sudden whoosh outside, as she approached the front door a large smile crept up onto her face.

"Hey." Barry said

"Hey, want to come in?" She said adjusting her glasses

"Yeah, thanks"

He entered the now familiar house and followed her onto the couch.

"I didn't know you wore glasses?" He observed

"Yeah they're only for reading when I'm tired." She answered taking them off and putting them away.

"I think you look cute with them on."

Kyra could feel a sudden heat run up her neck and fluster her cheeks.

"How did the punch feel?" She asked.

"It hurt, like a lot." He said rubbing his hand gently. She carefully took his hand into hers and examined it, she lowered her head and kissed his knuckles lightly. The warmth and softness of her lips lingered on Barry's skin as she pulled away.

"What was that for?" He whispered.

"To make your hand feel better."
